I just hosted a baby shower for my daughter-in-law this past weekend and 1C Barn was the perfect venue! This sweet
rustic-country and intimate atmosphere was exactly what I envisioned for for a small gathering of family and friends. The barn has the perfect layout for entertaining and the character that enhances any decor you add to it. Alyce and Andrea were wonderful hosts that were always responsive to all communications and questions. In my case, were also very generous with last minute requests. I will not hesitate to host any future gatherings at 1C Barn, either should you! You will not be disappointed!

We had our wedding at Alyce's beautiful venue on May 22nd of this year. It was truly a dream come true. Alyce and Andrea were very accommodating, responsive and answered all my questions throughout the planning process. We had a total of 65 guests at our wedding which was perfect. We were able to coordinate with them to rent out the VRBO house right down the street for my husbands family to stay and we also rented out one of the houses right down the street on airbnb. We were almost able to accommodate all of our guests which was ideal since many family members were traveling internationally. The venue was clean and with all of the rain in may, the grass was bright green. Thank you so much Alyce, David, and Andrea for sharing your beautiful home with us.

To think I almost let a few bad reviews deter me from choosing the wedding of our dreams amazes me. This place is whatever you make of it! My original dream was to have us and our 40 guests ceremony outside under the arch with the benches. Well, Mother Nature instead created a snow globe around the barn and the house had a BEAUTIFUL alternative just steps away inside. See pictures for beautiful alternative scenery. Alyce and David were so great to work with and were helpful throughout the ENTIRE process, starting 1.5 years before the actual wedding LOL. They let me come tour both VRBO houses that are across from each other in May 2022- year before our wedding. Since we don’t live in CO, the recommendations they had on their website helped a lot! We did NOT use all of them and they did NOT get kick backs for the ONE rec that we used. The Vrbo they also own across the road from 1c barn housed 16 of us comfortably before, during, and after the wedding. Also one of my other favorites- being about to stay within budget here is so doable since the house is beautiful just as it is.
To answer some of the concerns in past reviews: The trash situation was people’s biggest concerns and honestly me at first, BUT there is a public trash disposal ~12 minutes away that you pay a few bucks and dispose of it. We did rehearsal and wedding at 1c barn, so of course we had a TON of trash. My dad and some of the groomsmen drove there the morning of our wedding and disposed of the trash. Easy peasy fix! Cleaning products there bc my dog had an accident- let Alyce know and fixed it right away. Toilet paper and paper towels given starter, which is the care at literally every Airbnb/Vrbo/hotel you stay in! We spent $50 and was able to have extra for 1c barn and the other Vrbo next door.
The details of the trash situation, clean up, expectations etc were all discussed a head of time. As long as you communicate with them and ask questions about the concerns you have, they will work with you. Some of these reviews make them seem to be horrible people, but they’re a very sweet family that just want to make your wedding day special! But you have to remember, they are also running a business as well so they want to make sure their houses are respected and they’re making a profitable income. Someone that has a dad who use to own a small business, I get that!
PLEASE let me know if you would like any questions answered for this house for a wedding before you say no.

1C Barn was truly perfect for our wedding! There was plenty room for our 55 guests, bartender, DJ and a dance floor. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

We had our wedding in mid November and it was perfect! We had about 30 guests and the space was a great size for that many people. We also cooked the reception dinner ourselves and the kitchen provided most everything we needed. They also have a hutch full of wedding decor and such and we took advantage of those items which helped with our (micro) budget 😅 others have posted about bringing your own toilet paper and such but we did not have to do that. Alyce was very helpful and was readily available through text and email if we had any questions. I had more people rsvp than originally planned and Alyce was understanding and helped get through all of that. I loved the bedroom at the top of the spiral staircase! It was the cherry on top of a perfect weekend! Thank you 1 C Barn for helping me create the wedding I envisioned!

We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at 1cBarn and it was absolutely perfect. We had our ceremony outside, our cocktail hour in the front yard, and reception inside (about 40 guests total). The family who owns the venue is so kind, responsive, and easy to work with. The space is stunning and you can tell a lot of thought and craftsmanship went into every room. Pictures really don’t do it justice. You could honestly get away with minimal decorations because the space and tables are already beautiful on their own. All of our guests kept telling us how perfect the space was, and the ceremony and reception both felt intimate and simple, yet elegant. We cannot say enough good things about our experience, both with the venue space and Andrea and Alyce. For anyone wanting a smaller, intimate, and fun wedding in Colorado, we highly highly recommend 1cBarn!

The stay we had at the Badger Run was more then we could have ever expected! We originally wanted to us Barn 1C for our wedding but, when I asked about it they informed me the Barn was already booked for the days I was interested In. Instead I was offered the Badger Run for our wedding, which is right across the street from the Barn. Doing the wedding at the Badger run made things so much easier, we did the ceremony and reception there so we had time to set up and we didn't feel rushed to take things down right away. Also our out of town family had a place to stay while they were here. The home was very inviting and coming back home made me miss their heated floors! Alyce and Andrea were so kind and helpful the entire time! We couldn't have asked for a better stay!!

We had an amazing wedding at 1C barn! Alyce and Andrea were incredibly responsive and thoughtful during our planning process. The home was spotless when we checked in. We had about 45 guests and fit dinner and dancing easily in the space. We had so many compliments on the venue. We highly recommend 1C Barn!
