I was in Decatur for a business conference and was looking for a solo dinner after. The service was great and the food was outstanding. There were a couple of issues with food arriving at a lower temperature than would be optimal but these issues were handled in a friendly and prompt manner. I was very pleased with my experience.

I visited 609 Social for the second time today, this time solo during the lunch rush. Walking in alone, I wasn’t sure how it would feel, but that uncertainty disappeared right away. I was greeted quickly and warmly, then given a comfortable spot where I felt at ease. The staff was incredibly polite and attentive, always available when needed while still allowing me to enjoy my meal. Even the customers were chatting with each other, adding to the welcoming atmosphere.

Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely top-tier. The burger was delicious, the fries were next-level, and the waitstaff kept everything running smoothly. Whether you're dining solo or with friends, this place knows how to make you feel at home. Definitely worth a visit!

Had a great meal for lunch. I was with a group and was able to share some things with others. The smoked salmon dip was delicious (I especially liked the house fried potato chips that were served with it). I ordered the shrimp and grits. It was excellent. There were several other reviews complaining about it, mine was flavorful, it was not greasy at all, and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. In reading other reviews, I knew the Brussels sprouts were supposed to be the best "ever" and I ordered a side of them and they're amazing also. I love Brussels sprouts and these were some of the most unique tasting, crispy ones I've had. I will be getting more next time!!!

I attended a work dinner with a medium sized party. We sat in a side room called The Anex adjacent to the main restaurant. The service was excellent - never felt like we were apart from the restaurant. The food was excellent. The sought dough and marinara with feta was delicious, the hot chicken bites were earthy and spicy, and the cauliflower soft and tasty. I had the grouper which was perfectly cooked.

I went here to eat. I ended up shopping at the inhouse seafood market as well. This place is amazing. Renovated old building made modern. Very classy and yet very relaxed. The food is to die for. Great pizzas, fresh seafood on those types of dishes. The staf was also friendly and helpful. Nice parking lot and second entry in the back. It was a pleasure to be here and the shop is addictive. So many seasonings and fresh seafood. I got a slab a salmon, a pound of gulf shrimp and a pound of scallops with a packet of etouffee seasonings.
Great spot if you want to eat in or grab something to cook at home.

We were traveling through and decided to eat dinner here on short notice on a Friday night. They were so accommodating and we had a great experience. The cocktail menu is fantastic and so is the wine selection. All our dishes were delicious. The staff were so friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We also got a great recommendation on a bottle of red wine to take with us.

My husband and I visited for lunch recently and they were very accommodating when it came to looking at ingredients so that my intolerances were avoided. The shoestring fries were PERFECT, especially since they made the switch to beef tallow! They were absolutely delicious. The gulf cocktail shrimp was perfect and perfectly cooked. The amount of shrimp I received was perfect in relation to the price ($15). My one qualm with my meal is the sweet tea was VERY bitter and slightly too sweet. It was good sweet tea, but it was definitely steeped way too long.

My husband ordered a burger that he thought was a patty melt because the menu name made it seem like it was going to be, but he said it was a good burger.

I would like to see that there are more items stocked in the market part of the establishment. Each time we have visited there is barely anything on the shelves and a lot of what is on the floor are things I can easily buy in store. Having more canned goods or even jars of beef tallow, soy candles, etc. that aren’t easy to find would be great! I would be a lot more inclined to visit and I know quite a few families that would also.

All in all we are excited to come back to see how things improve and to hopefully have some more delicious meals!

609 Social has become a go to spot for us living in Decatur. I've never had a bad meal there. Sometimes service can be slightly disappointing, and if the restaurant is busy its very loud to the point where you are yelling across the table for conversation. But the delicious food and drinks are worth coming back for. This is the only Decatur restaurant I am eager to make repeat visits to.
