Yesterday was the first time my friend and I went kayaking and it was an amazing experience. I don't remember our instructor's name but here is a picture of him, he is a very nice, polite and very smart guy. He took his time with us and explained the history behind each cave. Also, the girl who helped us at the entrance of the store was excellent. I highly recommend this place if you want to have a good adventure in La Jolla.

Definitely recommend going with La Jolla Sea Cave Kayak. The guide, George, is funny, personable and knowledgeable about the area and fauna. It was a seamless online booking, and once you arrive at the shop, you're directed to the back for lockers and change if needed.

My partner and I booked the tandem kayak and though neither of us kayaked much before, we felt safe in the relatively calm waters. It was even fun to coast and ride the small waves. George gave clear instructions and kept watch over the group. There are other companies touring at the same time so we alternated entering the sea caves. For beginners, you may find the paddle back to be tiring but the experience is worth it. We saw Garibaldi fish, many sea lions, and even briefly caught dolphins.

The perfect way to see the sea caves at LaJolla Cove. The guides were very personable and knowledgeable about the areas history, geography and wildlife. We saw a turtle, birds, sea lions, leopard sharks and famous Garibaldi fish made famous by Dr Seuss. This was one of the highlights of our trip to San Diego and worth every penny. The double kayaks worked perfectly.

I enjoyed viewing La Jolla Shores from the water with an amazing tour! I was so grateful for the education about the area and the team that helped my group in and out of the water! The equipment they issued fit, and the history and geology knowledge of the area was top notch!

These pictures were taken by a friend on another tour, but they are so good that I thought I would pass them along. There was a point in the tour where we were given the option to swim for a few minutes if we wanted to. The tour was so much fun! I love this company & highly recommend them to my family & friends!

Experienced staff, seamless process, beginner friendly, and great experience. 2/3 of us had never kayaked before but felt very comfortable. This tour keeps groups small so you feel like you aren’t lost in a group and can hear what they’re telling you. Learned a lot about the animals, caves, and area even after living here for years. Saw lots of leopard sharks, fish, and sea lions. Also the most affordable kayaking option in La Jolla, from what I saw.

Highly recommend! Did the kayak tour guided by Takumi & Roan on 09/21/24 and they were both wonderful guys, super knowledgeable, and just made the experience so much fun! We saw a ton of wildlife out on the water; sea lions, cormorants, pelicans and lots of garibaldi. Had a blast, if you’re in the San Diego area do this because it’s a great time and extremely worth it!

What an amazing experience. Catalina and Mariano were the perfect tour guides on this excursion. Very funny people and informative the entire 2 hour kayak. Would 100% do this again and would be glad to have them again as our tour guides.

This experience was an absolute MUST DO while in La Jolla! It was even more incredible than I expected. The views of the coast line and the caves from the water was extraordinary and it was amazing getting to go into the caves. We saw many sea lions up close and in the caves and we also saw multiple bird species and garibaldi fish. Our tour guide Takumi was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and the ocean, as well as the history of La Jolla. Some of the kayakers in our group did not have any experience kayaking but Takumi was great at making everyone feel comfortable and giving precise directions when we were navigating in and around the caves. Natalie working in the shop at check in was extremely friendly as well! Highly recommend doing this tour with this particular company.
