Kayaking off the coast of La Jolla with for the cave tour was the highlight of our family trip! It was thrilling to experience the ocean surge inside a sea cave but this was WAY more than just a cave tour. It was a wonderful gift to sea lions, leopard sharks, and all kinds sea birds from the water. We absolutely loved learning about the local ecology, geology and history from our highly entertaining and incredibly capable guides, Chase and Marshall. Their knowledge of the area and recommendations shaped the rest of our trip. 100% worth it to go with these guides!

My husband and I did the sea cave kayak tour on a tandem kayak. Everyone was super friendly! You are supposed to arrive 45 minutes early. We barely made it there at our scheduled time because parking is absolutely terrible. The staff was super kind about it and we got going right away. We had two tour guides for our group, Chance and Dax. They were both wonderful, outgoing, and helpful. I am 7 months pregnant and have not been super active, so I was a little worried about if I'd be able to handle being out in the kayak on the ocean for that long. Everything went super smoothly. We were able to see tope sharks, leopard sharks, many sea lions, garibaldi, pelicans, and other birds. We also got to get up close with the caves which was super neat! We went at the 10:20 am time, and the weather was perfect, not too hot or cold. I'd definitely recommend this company and this tour to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun way to explore the cove. Definitely get there as early as possible as the parking situation is a disaster!

One of the most magical tour excursions I have ever been on. Our kayaks were surrounded by dolphins, sea lions and all sorts of amazing wildlife and the sea caves were incredibly beautiful. Luca was the best tour guide and had some top-notch dad jokes.

I took the 2 hour sea caves tour with a friend of mine and it was amazing!!! The two young men serving as guides were very helpful, knowledgeable, and super friendly! There were tons of seals in the water and on the rocks all around us, and then, on the way coming back to shore a small group of dolphins swam right up to our guide! It was spectacular!!! I was totally shocked to see one let alone a handful! It was a wonderful time and I'd definitely do it again!

We had the best time here. Honestly I almost canceled with the service I received on the phone. It was horrible and they said they couldn't find my reservation because it was with a Groupon. They said they didn't have any Groupons available and the guy was just no help to me at all. I wanted to cancel and I was extremely upset so I had very little hopes for this place. But my daughter and I still went. I will say arrive extremely early for parking as we had to park about a half a mile away in a neighborhood. There was just no parking anywhere. You do have to pay for a locker if you can't lock your stuff in your vehicle so that is another downfall. So be prepared to pay $8 for a locker. Other than that our guides were amazing. The experience was awesome and we saw lots of sea lions and the caves were beautiful. It was very relaxing being out on the ocean. Our guides made up for the horrible service I received on the phone. La Jolla is just beautiful. I will say to take some Dramamine if you get motion sickness because I usually don't but I did get motion sickness due to the rocking of the kayaks. I felt very safe the entire time. Just know this is an activity that requires a lot of energy and requires you to be in some sort of good shape to row the kayak through the waves.

It was a great experience on a cloudy day. I do a lot of kayaking and this is one of my top choices. It was a long trip into the oceans. We are amazed to watch dolphins and sea lions on the way. We had been into the caves by ourselves under supervision. We also had sea snack on the trip ?

I had a great experience on my kayak tour! Matt was our guide and he kept it fun! 🙂 This is my first kayak tour and as a beginner, I felt it was perfect for me! We got to go inside a cave and hang out for a couple minutes. Matt was filled with knowledge and it was great listening to him share it all! There were some sea lions in the cave too!

The distance was a bit farther than I thought but it wasn't bad. There is no rush and we were able to paddle at our own pace. It was relaxing to me.

The employees at the shop all were very nice and helpful!

Marshall was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable and funny and kept the tour entertaining while having plenty of time for customers to paddle around and enjoy the view.

We went inside the cave and I saw the reviews that some people could not at some times so I guess ask before you go if the tide is too high to go inside the cave or not because as we were leaving it was starting to get that way. a mother sea lion was inside the cave sleeping.

it was a very beautiful experience a good amount of exercise and we were lucky to have perfect weather hazy and perfect room temperature LOL. The water was also pretty clear and warm
