Wow, wow, wow! What a dream trip we had today with Russell at Xplore Offshore! We wanted a custom whale and dolphin adventure that met all our expectations, and Russell delivered far beyond that. We encountered not just three species of dolphins, but also a mesmerizing sunfish and two majestic blue whales up close. The thrill of touching a dolphin and being near the blue whales was surreal! Our kids were ecstatic with the boat's exhilarating speed, the refreshing drinks, and the joy of diving into the open ocean. This journey was nothing short of magical and exceeded our wildest dreams. We can’t wait to book again—truly a five-star experience!

THE BEST day on the waters off of San Diego we have ever had. Our positive experience started with Russell and his great communication. He kept us updated about weather conditions and swells a week out and up to the day of our adventure. This specialized boat was SO MUCH FUN!! Getting out was one of the best parts of this trip.

The day got better when we came across a pod of Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins. Russell knew exactly how to get their attention and they would come play with our boat, the videos and photos we got are amazing. We could hang off of the bow of the boat and literally watch them play in the wake. There were SO MANY babies there. Russell is very knowledgeable about Marine life and he pointed out the newborns and what to look for. We could not have had a better time if we planned it.

The whole family has decided we will do this again, even if we do not see any wildlife, the ride alone is so much fun. Worth every dime!!!

Amazing experience on the water with Russell. Completely made our family vacation worth it. He is cool and easy to work with. We got so lucky and saw blue whales and 2 different types of dolphin. I would do this trip again and again if I'm ever in San Diego. I wouldn't hesitate to book this if you can get on his calendar. Even if we went out and saw nothing it still would have been worth it just to be on the water and talk to Russell.

Found Xplore Offshore on the Internet while planning a La Jolla visit for anniversary - surprise trip for my wife hoping to see animals. Russell was very helpful as we came up to the scheduled day in mid September, candidly advising regarding changing / questionable conditions and the level of wildlife activity he was seeing recently. We rescheduled by a day at his advice for better conditions. Thanks to Russell's knowledge, we totally lucked out! We ended up seeing literally thousands of dolphins including common, Risso's and Bottlenose as well as a Minke whale! Highly recommend Xplore Offshore and Russell Moore! Super experience and worth every penny! The small fast boat provides super flexibility to get to whatever action is happening! Check out the video!

We had such an amazing time! Russel was very professional and made us feel very welcome and safe. We knew going into it there was a chance we were not going to see any dolphins or whales.. (although we did) -the boat ride alone was well worth it! He is very knowledgeable and knew all of the amazing spots along the San Diego Coast to take us. We will definitely be going back to Russel often! Highly recommend!

Russell is the guy who made my husband’s Birthday Special!
We took a trip to deep ocean with Russell on 8/14 and it was a memorable trip! Russell was very easy to deal with and tried his best to make us feel comfortable and enjoy the trip. We were able to see two kinds of dolphins swimming and surfing right next to us and we even could swim next to them. It was like a movie scene to see them right next to us. It was about 3 hours trip and Russell was very patient and kind to make us feel comfortable. I definitely call him again for next adventure.

A wonderful trip! Russell provided the perfect balance of care, excitement, and knowledge for our adventure! We were out for about 6 hours and loved every minute of it! And with his skill on the ocean, we saw such wonderful wildlife! Three species of dolphins, and four blue whales! I was looking for some pelagic birds, and Russell came through with those as well! I highly recommend his tour! We felt safe at all times, we were thrilled by the abundance of wildlife. Zipping along with hundreds of dolphins jumping on all sides, and a dozen dolphins three feet below me in the bow wave was a never-to-be forgotten experience!

This adventure was the highlight of our San Diego trip! Russell does such a great job - his experience is evident & his boat is so cool! We would have enjoyed the boat trip in itself, but he was able to lead us to three different types of dolphins & three gray whale sightings. All four people in our group got to reach out from the boat and touch a wild dolphin! So fun & memorable!
