My wife and were on our way home towards bay area and decided to stop and stay the night in clearlake. We found this place which is nicely located on the lake. Front desk was very kind and we ended up staying in the suite facing the water for a reasonable price. The suite is wonderfully spacious and kept nice and clean. For the price, hospitality, and service I'll rate 5/5

It's an older place but the rooms are updated and clean. Front desk was very friendly. Seems like a lot of people actually live there but were no problem. Parking is a little on the tight side but it's 50 yards from the lake. I'd stay again

Last place we could get a room at but at a good price. AC worked well and that's what saved us during the heat wave but place could be a lot better w more detail to inside and outside attention.
Able to sleep so that's what mattered most to me.

I was looking at booking here for a quick visit to family. I decided not book for two reasons: one, I was reading their terms of service and apparently in addition to the night pet fees, they also charge a $2500.00 pet deposit up front. Like.... You're a 2-star motel, my pets could destroy the room entirely and it wouldn't cost $2500 to start from scratch. And second, when I called the motel to ask if that was a typo, the gentleman kind of snickered and said, "yeah, wow," like it's the first time he's ever heard of it. I asked if many people have an issue with paying the power deposit and he replied that people do it all the time. I noted the fact that he admitted this was the first time he's heard of the deposit, but claimed to accept these all the time. Then he hung up on me.

Bad policy. Bad service. Bad news.

This hotels bad reviews are not in any way true. The staff are incredibly nice respectful and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean. We had a beautiful view of the lake from our balcony. We stayed 5 days for the Fourth of July festival and had a amazing time. The whole town is full friendly people. We will definitely be coming back to visit this little town and most definitely be coming back to stay at this hotel during our next visit.

Nothing like the pictures shown when we passed through here a few nights ago.

EXPECT: dirty pool, ants in the kitchen, dirty furniture especially the couches, rusty and smelly drains, horrible internet, swarms of gnats everywhere, unfriendly and rude staff...

We stayed at this place for two nights. The people in charge are unorganized. We checked in and they called my husband late at night (when we were all sleeping) to see if he wanted the reservation and he had to tell them that we were already checked in. We stayed here to rest because we are moving to a new state. As a family that has been moving with a toddler and driving to a new state, the least we wanted was to keep moving things around. The next day they moved us to a smaller room upstairs and if we didn't move they would charge us $100 extra to stay in the first room they had provided us with the night before.
The pool had no shade at all and it looked dirty. There was some trash around the pool area. There is gnats hovering over the grassy area, stairs, doors, and hallways in big swarm. The couches were dirty (I understand it being old, but it can be old and clean). A foul smell came out of the rusty drain every time we open the faucet and let the water run. Some of the chairs had spider webs underneath. Our cooler was filled with ants in the morning. The new room provide one shower towel for the three of us. The staff was unfriendly. I forgot to mention that hey made us switch rooms in the middle of the day on a 100 degree weather. The whole experience took away any little energy we had to explore the little town.

I have stayed here twice in the last year for a few days each time. My room was clean and freshly painted . The place was quiet and safe. It's no frills but it's was 112 per night. Good place too stay.
