I was fortunate to accompany Linda on a trip to Africa where she was attending a conference with hundreds of representatives from throughout the continent to learn more about the type of properties and services that would best meet the needs of Tribù’s clients. While I arrived later than Linda and was a bit nervous about coming to Cape Town on my own, Tribù arranged a VIP meet and greet service that met me at the door of the aircraft, took me through the fast track immigration and customs process, then accompanied me to my hotel. The tours Tribù arranged were amazing! Knowing I was a solo traveler they made sure I was coupled with the best guides and also arranged a group trip to the Winelands where I made fast friends with other like-minded travelers.
After the conference we traveled throughout Zambia on what the trade calls a Fam tour. I was impressed by the number of people Linda knew throughout our journey and the close relationship she had formed with the property managers and other suppliers of luxury accommodations and services. This is no small feat to be recognized half way across the world! I also came to realize the tremendous amount of work and dedication Tribù founders and agents take on to really dive deep into the properties and services, relentlessly visiting every 4 and 5*property in a region to make sure they are up to date and are able to match traveler preferences and budgets with the right place. Unfortunately, I had to leave the trip early for a family emergency and Tribù’s partners on the ground were able to seamlessly take care of a complicated situation to help me get back home. I could go on and on about the superior accommodations, great service and magnificent wildlife viewing, truly a trip of a lifetime, but more than that I want to recommend Linda and her team as a “goto” resource for trips that would be impossible to replicate by searching the web. A curated experience by people who have been there, who have developed relationships with the locals is the only way I would travel to remote locations, knowing I had the local resources to help me if there was a snag in the plans and knowing that I am truly seeing the best camps, unique hotels, enjoying the company of amazing guides and being in the right places in the right seasons. Tribu was AMAZING! Our 3 week trip to Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique and South Africa was incredible, and actually flawless. Every single flight, transport, meet & greet, driver, boarder crossing, meal and activity was incredible. Marni and her team made the planning process super easy and smooth. When we had worries/questions they were available to answer us and listened to our goals. They crafted the perfect honeymoon for us based on our conversations and advised us with great confidence and kindness. They accurately explained what to expect every step of the way. Plus, their travel app is insanely helpful during the trip. Our African Bush Camp experiences at Thorntree, Khwai and Linyanti were incredible. The food and wine was amazing, the guides were so knowledgeable and the logistics/accommodations beautiful. We went to Mozambique for a beach holiday afterward and had the same incredible treatment and experience. I highly highly recommend Marni and her team - they are trustworthy, super knowledgeable, kind and honest. Trip of a lifetime!
