So much fun! My husband and I were a bit nervous because it had been so long since we had been on a bike - the route was easy to follow, not too many hills (a huge bonus in SF), and we stopped at 3 great local brew houses. The best way to see the city! We had a great guide - he was informative, laid back, and so knowledgable about San Francisco history. PLUS starting the day with Alcatraz was amazing. Fun way to meet new people and the best way to see the city

Great tour that takes you away from the usual tourist places. Great knowledge about the local beers and quirky history on San Francisco.

Tour was fantastic. The tastings and wineries were very well curated. The distance between wineries allowed you to enjoy the bike ride without it being too long and you look forward to the next tasting ever so much more. Great guests along on the tour and the guide was very engaging and knowledgeable.

Amazing time in Napa! Danny our guide out did himself again! We went last year on the bikes and beer excursion and this year the Napa ride. Both tours were incredible! If you are in the Bay Area make sure to do one of their tours, it’s far better than any tour you will come across and there is nothing better than seeing the sites by bike. Danny knows so much about brewery, wine making and all of the history along the way. Thanks again Danny! ?

I feel the need to write this review because of our experience with our recent Beer Bike Tour. I booked online an Alcatraz and Bike tour for Nov. 11th. Nowhere on the reservation page does it say the reservation could be canceled due to low reservations for said tour. I only had 3 days in San Fran and had laid out my schedule for each day. I was notified by email and asked if I could change my reservation date and I said no I couldn't because of the scheduled events I already had planned. My reservation for Alcatraz and the Bike tour were canceled (due to no other people booking the trip)while I was flying out there. They not only canceled the bike portion they canceled the 9 am Alcatraz portion as well. This really screwed up all my plans. Once arriving at the hotel the concierge rebooked Alcatraz for me for Noon and we did reschedule the bike tour for then next day at 2pm. I had to cancel some other plans and the Alcatraz tour being at noon wasted a large portion of the day too.
Now to the Bike Tour. Once arriving at the address listed on the web site we could not find and signs for the Grapes and Gears on the building, only after speaking with a dishwasher at the business next door did we realize that we were in the right location. If it weren't for the dishwasher we would have left the area.No sign on the building is very confusing and not professional at all. Two other people showed up the for tour and the guide arrived late and rushed around trying to get us back on schedule.

Now the Tour. During the tour we stopped at 3 breweries 2 were good one was bad. The tour was not very informative at all. We only stopped 3 times to discuss buildings, alleys or parks that we were in. I am sure we passed by a whole lot of historical places without them being pointed out. Knowing that I was still a little pissed off at the previous days' tour being canceled I asked the other couple of the tour what they thought and they said they were disappointed with the tour too.

The tour felt like we were riding around town with a cousin that was pointing out things as we rode to the next beer stops.

Pros: Bikes were nice
Cons: Everything else

Ari runs a great tour and is very knowledgeable on all the wines tasted on the trip. Her relationships with the wineries we visited made the trip extra special- in some cases the person leading the tasting was an owner of the vineyard! The timing of the trip was also well-planned, without too much distance between locations, but enough sunshine and exercise to make it an adventure by bicycle in Napa valley. Of course, the van was always a phone call away if you needed it! I would definitely take a tour with Ari again, and hope to bring some visiting friends on one of her excursions later this year.

I would have given a 0 first of all, but I can’t. A friend and I booked 2 tours through this company. First, even after this review, if you still want to use this company, call them direct. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH A SEPARATE COMPANY. We were embarrassingly pulled off the van and denied a wine biking trip because they said the company we booked through didn’t relay the information, even though we had conformation and the vouchers. 2 days later we were told we would not be able to attend the 2nd wine trip we took due to low numbers. I paid over $300 for 2 people for each tour. We wasted 2 wholes days of our trip that were planned around these tours. Also, we booked these tours approximately a month and a half in advance. Luckily, Green Dreams tours came through, and we were able to book Green Dreams within less than 24 hours. I was looking forward to this tour, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment.

Alcatraz was great, the audio tour is amazing! The biking made for a fun afternoon! We enjoyed the breweries, it would have been great to hear a little more from them about who they are and how they started, otherwise a fun enjoyable tour,
