This was such a gem to find while visiting Tule Lake. It's a new building with lots of information about the area. There are paved walking paths (2 miles), bird blinds, picnic tables, and more. We found out that you can rent canoes and kayaks here too. There is a hiking trail across the road that switchbacks to a viewpoint of the lake and surrounding area. A birder and photographer's dream. It's pet friendly as well.

If you are interested in wildlife, an avid bird watcher and love beautiful scenery, this is the place to visit. The welcome center is informative and the staff are very helpful. There are hiking areas, canoes and driving trails. I saw golden eagles, bald eagles, and many different ducks. Night herons, marmots and many more different animals who are migrating. Remember to bring you binoculars!

Many many different birds. I saw a raptor and an eagle. There are taxidermy examples of various birds in discovery building(I don't like serving dead animals but whoever did them did an amazing job. It's really peaceful walking on the paths close to the center. Beautiful picture opportunities. The rangers were particularly friendly and helpful

Came here off season, so I didn’t get to see any eagles or anything “super super” cool however, we drove around and go to see lots of pretty birds just chilling. The amount of mosquitoes were frightening so we stayed inside the car, but we were still able to see plenty from the car. Got to great shots of birds too!

Lake bed near visitor center completely dry. Sump 1B area on east side has plenty of water and birds, deer.

Picnic area across road from visitor center very pleasant place to relax. The Discovery Marsh trail head, no water so no waterfowl.
