This tour is SO worth it! Carlos is an amazing guide. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. He brought an extra backpack, snacks, and water. I am a pretty experienced hiker, so at first I thought it was unnecessary to do a guided hike... but I went along with it because my cousins wanted to do it. It turned out to be a GREAT decision! Carlos took us on a hike that we would not have been able to find otherwise. It is a very "local" / nontouristy experience. It was a moderate hike that was VERY enjoyable. Just long enough to feel like a great workout (3.5 hours, about 5.5 miles), but not too strenuous in terms of elevation. We got to see amazing views and explore unique terrains. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Palm Springs! Especially when the weather is cooler than average (we went at at the end of September).

Unforgettable and breathtaking views of the Coachella Valley with the most knowledgeable hiker, Carlos. I learned so much and even got to see a very unique oasis of palm trees tucked in the rocks. It felt good being away from society for 3 hours. I’ll come back for sure and I’ll definitely hike with Carlos again.

My friends and I planned a weekend getaway in Palm Springs and booked this guided hike as part of our jam-packed itinerary and it was worth it! Got up early to start the hike at 6am so we could beat the summer heat. Carlos gave clear driving directions to meet him at the base of the trail and also provided us backpacks with some snacks and water. We chose to do the incline first and save the easier route for the way down. This worked out better for one of the members of our group who needed some extra time to safely traverse down the path. Carlos even provided her a walking stick to help her with stability. I liked how Carlos never rushed us so we could experience the hike at our pace. Throughout the hike we enjoyed the views and took some wonderful photos of the scenery and of us as a group. Carlos shared some of his knowledge about the area and of the plants. We also made jokes and had some laughs along the way. I felt our personalities meshed well with Carlos's, making the hike more casual and fun. By the last stretch of the trail we were pretty exhausted but the feeling of accomplishment was worth it in the end. We even bragged later in the day about the hike to fellow pool party goers who couldn't fathom waking up that early for a 3 hour hike. So we felt like champs. Thanks Carlos for being such a kind and supportive tour guide and for a hike that became a key part of our memorable Palm Springs getaway!

Carlos was super knowledgeable and gave the best advice/guidance a week before we even did the hike. I felt well prepared from equipment down to snacks! Carlos talked about his time in the area and recommendations for us during our time in Palm Springs. The hike itself was moderate, got a great workout and broke a sweat for sure. Took about 2.5 hours in total. Bring water and gatorade!

This was my first mountain hike and I absolutely loved it! Perfect weather and the views were breathtaking. Carlos was excellent sending helpful information prior and providing essentials for hydration. The hike took about 3 hours. It was fun, beautiful and challenging. My apple watch said I burned about 850 calories! We stopped periodically as he pointed out different plants, gave really interesting facts about Palm Springs and offered to take photos. I really appreciated this being there solo. If you want to enjoy nature while being active and seeing Coachella Valley, you won't be disappointed. Next time I’m back, I would do it again!

Spent Valentines Day on a guided hike tour with Carlos.
He was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area, the history and the various plant life growing. He was very patient and motivational. At times it got a little challenging where we thought we couldn't go any further and just wanted to go back, but Carlos kept us going. He was the perfect tour guide. The hike was topped off with amazing views making it food for our health and souls. You will not go wrong with Carlos....
Highly recommended and will definitely return.
