I had the pleasure of photographing two weddings this year that were planned by the It's Your Day Events Team. The first was at Semiahmoo Resort and the second at The Edgewater. This team consistently executed the wedding day flawlessly. If anything went wrong, no one knew except them. We were in a somewhat unique situation with our wedding because we live in Hawaii and were planning to get married in Washington. We were very busy with work, so we asked the ladies if they'd be willing to essentially plan everything -- including choosing and purchasing decor and signage -- without us around. We chatted a bunch through email about style and budget, and our wedding turned out to be exactly what we wanted ... and more!

The styling of our wedding was spot-on (so classy, elegant, and perfectly modern/rustic!), and we had so much fun. They moved everything along smoothly, and if anything did go wrong, we (and our guests) didn't know about it! Their attention to detail was so beautiful, and they were happy and fun to be around too! As we danced the night away, we didn't even know they were already hard at work cleaning up areas where the party had relocated away from.

In addition to styling and organizing our DREAM wedding, they helped us find all the best vendors and arranged some discounts through their great relationships with those vendors. During the final week before we got married, I made some last minute changes, and they automatically contacted the vendors and arranged for refunds we weren't even thinking we'd get. It was hard for a lot of people to believe me when I told them this, but that last week before the wedding was completely stress free because Ashley and Christina took care of EVERYTHING! All we had to do was show up and get married. 🙂

If you think it's too expensive or not worth it to hire a wedding planner, think again. They are well worth the investment and so much more. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Ashley and Christina. Ryan and I absolutely could not have done this without you.

Our wedding was in June 2021 and we could not be happier with IYDE. We worked with Sara for our coordination up north in Bellingham; she helped us navigate choices for planning a pandemic wedding and helped make sure all the small details and logistics fell into place. Sara and IYDE gave us peace of mind and confidence in our planning but also after a few details meetings, we had full trust that we were partnering with the perfect crew. Communication was clear, frequent, and supportive! Sara helped us build our wedding day timeline and we were able to adjust as often as needed as we thought of last minute details. On the wedding day, the setup, tear down, and transitions were smooth as butter, and all the tiny hiccups (something can and WILL go wrong) were resolved immediately. Sara truly went above and beyond by providing sign easels, a small table for our ceremony, and even transported our rentals. I had never been married before and knew nothing about how to begin putting together a wedding and Sara and her team really blew me out of the water. I have to admit I am a bit of a visual control freak and Sara was so patient with me and MAN OH MAN did she blow my expectations out of the water! I wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding day and definitely couldn’t have done it without Sara and her team. They were so flexible with my husband and I during the planning process, understood our taste and sense of humor, and did the best job ensuring everything was buttoned up and our wedding day went seamlessly. If there's one thing I'd recommend, it's great a freaking planner and the second thing would be to use It's Your Day Events. The entire process was stress-free and fun, which would NOT have happened if we didn't have them. They really made our wedding day everything we wanted.

Ashley and Christina are amazing! I am so glad that we chose them for the month of coordination package. Right away Ashley and Christina made me feel welcome and calm about the day. They are both so sweet! They took the time to discuss the details of our wedding day and understood our vision. They were super kind and accessible. They met with me many times and answered my long list of questions and emails. We also used their expressions side of the business for escort cards, table numbers and other signage. Our signage was beautiful and totally matched the theme of our wedding. On our wedding day Ashley and Christina took care of every detail! We were able to relax and just enjoy our day!
