We went on the Rock n’ Walk tour in May, and on the day we booked, it happened to be just us, so we got lucky with a private experience! Jonny greeted us with huge enthusiasm and took us around all the venues we had dreamed of seeing. It felt like a VIP experience—we got insider recommendations, sat in Slash’s chair at the Rainbow, saw where Janis Joplin carved her name in a local bar, and even visited the toilet where Jim Morrison wrote ‘LA Woman.’ We also met some local book and art dealers along the way. It was a night we’ll never forget, and Jonny captured it all for us with his incredible photography skills. We're already excited to return for another tour. This time, we know exactly where to stay to be in the heart of the action. Beyond all the amazing spots, Jonny was so personable and friendly, and by the end of the trip, it felt like we’d made a lifelong friend. Thanks again, Jonny—hope to see you soon!

Done this tour last night and I was blown away. Jonny is brilliant, the guy knows everyone on the strip which means you get access to alot of places you wouldn't even know about as well as the ones you do. His knowledge of the area is unreal and he pulls no punches which makes the tour as authentic as it gets...plus he is a cool guy. Absolutely one of my favorite ever tours that won't soon be forgotten. Thanks Jonny!!!

Rock ’n Walk Tours offers an engaging and lively experience on the Sunset Strip, perfect for music lovers who want to explore and learn more about iconic rock history in Los Angeles. Jon is knowledgeable and passionate, providing unique insights into the legendary venues and artists that shaped rock 'n' roll culture. Also, Jon knows everyone in West Hollywood—when I unexpectedly got a splinter from a wooden stair railing during the tour, he quickly found a friend with tweezers and helped get out the splinter (pretty rock 'n' roll! ?). The tour is both informative and fun, making it an unforgettable experience for visitors to the LA area. Highly recommend!

Jon does an amazing job keeping the group completely immersed in the WeHo and Sunset Strip scene, so much history and so many captivating stories.

We had no idea how engaging this tour was going to be til we showed up and hit the street for several hours of info around the community, the rock scene, the actors and gangsters that hung out here.

He sent a full summary including all the pictures he took of us along the way, as well as recommendations for movies to watch where we would then recognize the scenes.

As we were on the walking tour, we watched boring tour buses with a driver narrating the experience with an obviously canned script.

Jon made it fun and interactive, and we got some good exercise in the meantime!

Googled “music tour” while in LA and booked a tour of the Sunset Strip totally on a whim, and it’s safe to say the experience exceeded my expectations.

As an avid music fan and musician, I always knew LA was a place with rich music history, but I had no idea the significance of the Sunset Strip and what I was in for.

Bands such as The Doors, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Van Halen, Mötley Crüe, Guns N’ Roses, and more all played at bars/clubs on the Sunset Strip or called it home at some point in their careers.

We saw, and in some cases sat in the room, where these bands lived, played, partied, and even got into trouble. Modern day acts such as Green Day and Katy Perry have even made their way through here.

If you’re ever in LA, I highly recommend checking out Jonny. He’s a LA native and is in the music industry himself. You can tell he lives and breathes the culture and the experience is truly authentic.

All of these famous places (Rainbow, Whisky a Go Go, Viper, Rock & Reilly’s, and more) all know Jonny, so you’ll be able to walk right in and get the full experience. Thank you for everything Jonny and hope to be back someday!

Me and my husband did this tour on 30th October, we were unsure what to expect but Jon was superb, his knowledge and passion for what he does was plain to see. We already knew quite a lot of the music history but learnt so much more. If you are ever in LA and want an insight I'd highly recommend this tour, be warned we walked over 9km and fast paced, a few hills so wear comfortable shoes. Can't wait to do this again when we return.

Mind blowing experience of Sunset Blvd and West Hollywood area. Joni took us to the hottest spots in the area where rock stars and celebrities hang out. Definitely a must for rock n roll enthusiasts!!!! I was born in LA and never I thought I’d visit these streets while gaining history of the strip simultaneously. So if you would like to get to know the area of Weho, I definitely recommend Joni as your tour guide!!

Ok, let me start this by saying I am a certified rock-n-roll junkie!!
The Rock 'n Walk Tour with Jon (your walking host), was recommended to me from a buddy who had done the tour in the past. I was going to be in LA for about 5 days so I booked the tour. The Rock Walk Tour was absolutely a major highlight of my LA stay. Jon is a super fun guy, extremely knowledgeable, and seemed to know every single person within 5 blocks of the Sunset Strip! I learned so much, saw places I never knew existed, and met some of the characters who inhabit the entire area. Bars, hotels, music venues, historical sites, book stores, and celebrity-only alcoves are just some of the sites you will experience. Plus, the stories that go along with these places are what make this tour absolutely essential to anyone interested in learning about the fascinating history of the Sunset Strip. In fact, I'm certain I'll do it again next trip just to get some hang time with Jon, the coolest cat still roaming the strip.
