Our recent stay at Sunnyside Hotel, we spent over $6,000, was highly disappointing. Maureen was extremely unprofessional & rude. Upon our return from lunch on the lake the manager complained that our dog had been left alone "all day," which was not true. We were gone for only 4 hrs. When I tried to explain this, the concierge rudely argued with me in front of other guests and became confrontational. Despite my attempts to de-escalate the situation using calming techniques, even asked to hug her , she became irate when we requested a working refrigerator for another room in our party, who needed asap to store food from the local deli. Additionally, rooms 32 & 33 with view of lake had several issues: no screen doors, making it impossible to keep insects out; poor ventilation, causing the rooms to be unbearably hot; a foul smell that triggered allergies, the bedding or chemicals caused a rash my sisters face and legs .The air conditioning was ineffective, and the swamp cooler provided did little to help. According to Maureen The manager, who shared the same temperament as her , was very upset & entered our room without knocking despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign, which likely caused our dog to bark. Overall, this was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. The views might be beautiful, but the service was unprofessional…. The staff's behavior and the poor room conditions made this stay uncomfortable. and we requested Manager to contact us for 2 days in a row and he never did.

My favorite lakefront restaurant in the summertime. The Tahoe vibe is real and the food delicious. My go-to’s are the zucchini appetizer and the Cajun fish tacos. Yum! Get there early for brunch to avoid long waits. They open at 11am. They will valet park your boat if you’re coming by water.
