This was such a fun trip. We did the 2 hour raft from Buena Vista to Salida and our family had a great time! Our guide Reese was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The whole trip was organized, safe and a blast! Would definitely recommend Performance Tours and the rafting experience! Gorgeous views!

We had so much fun that we went two days in a row! We had a great 1/2 trip on the Blue River and then we heard about Browns Canyon, a full day (with lunch) from our guide Ashley. We booked immediately and this was by far the best trip we have ever done! Great class 3 and 4 rapids with incredible views. I would have done a third day in a row with Performance Tours, but we had to get back to Texas. Performance Tours is a great company that puts safety first and they know how to make it a great experience regardless of your skill level. I highly recommend Ashley if you can get her to guide your trip. Ashley has years of quality rafting and guide experience all around the country and she was fantastic coaching us through all the rapids. I give five stars for Performance Tours!

This was our third time rafting with Performance Tours. This visit we took 3 grandkids for their first rafting experience and they loved it. We did the 1/2 day trip down Browns Canyon. It was the perfect level of rapids for them as beginners. We have always had a great experience with Performance Tours and that’s why we always use them. The guides are great. Experienced and personable. I’m sure we’ll be back again in the future. The grandkids are already talking about wanting to do a higher class rapid outing. Great memories made.

Our family took a rafting tour with Mike D through the Brown’s Canyon. It was the highlight of our vacation. He was such an excellent guide. You know you’re in good hands when your guide has been on the river since he was 4 years old. Mike maneuvered us down the river with such skill. He was able to anticipate every move our raft would make and prepare us for it so everything went off without a hitch. Also he’s a dang encyclopedia. He knew all kinds of history and fun facts for every stretch of the river that added a fun layer to our day of adventure.

Wow! Our Performance Tours rafting trip from Buena Vista down Browns Canyon was the highlight of our vacation! Our group of six, ages 15-58 had a blast! Two of us were quite nervous - we are so glad we did it! (Tell them if you are nervous - they will take care of you and assign your group guide accordingly!) Grace was our lead and she is awesome! She was in control the whole time and made us feel very safe! Her facts and stories were entertaining - she taught us what we needed to know - we were so glad she was our guide! (She was also the medic assigned for our pod of rafts.)
Note: No need to bring / buy special shoes. Performance has booties available that worked great. (I had bought swim shoes for my husband and son - returned them after our trip.) It was a bit chilly the day we went, but the splash jackets did the trick! Everything was very organized and the staff was all very friendly and helpful!

No need to try and bring phones or cameras. There is a professional company out there that takes action shots during one of the Level III rapids (see attached pics). Got all pics (~15) for around $50 - worth it!

Overall, we had a fantastic experience! Book it!

We had an awesome experience on our rafting trip. We had 10 family members with us and all had a blast. Our guides were awesome!! We had Stu and Cristina guiding us through our adventure. So much experience and knowledge between the two of them, we had no worries or concerns. Thank you for being apart of our family adventure!

Amazing experience! We rafted the Numbers section and had an absolute blast. Our rafting leader/guide, Kelly is fantastic! I cannot recommend PTR and Kelly enough. If you have been thinking about rafting and haven't pulled the trigger yet, this is your sign. Do it!
