The Rio River Retreat Lodge is a fabulous place to have your Scrapbook/Craft Retreat! There is plenty of room to spread out to work, the additional lighting provided is perfect, the whole lodge is very clean. The lodge is very comfortable and homey feeling. I’ve attended a retreat at this location for several years and I can’t think of a better place to go. Highly recommend the Rio River Retreat!!

I have thoroughly enjoyed my times at Rio River Retreat. I've been there 4 times for the warm and friendly Crafting/Quilting/Scrapbooking Retreat. There is plenty of room to spread out and work, or gather with newly made friends. It is a clean, warm, and well stocked cabin. All the amenities of home. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who is looking for a beautiful place to stay. You can see the running river from nearly every room. There is several outdoor places to sit and visit or to just look at the beautiful trees, water and skies. You want to see Colorado, South Fork is the place to go.

This is the best Craft retreat that I have ever been to! The owners are VERY accommodating and help us get everything set up for us to host our annual scrapbooking retreat! We have attended for 6 years and have never been disappointed. They have tables, chairs, perfect craft lighting and lots of room to spread out. Rio River Retreat comes highly recommended and will not disappoint! Between the crafting that goes on indoors and the natural beauty that comes with the outside, you won’t want to miss out on this beautiful place!

What a fantastic time we had scrapbooking at The Rio River Retreat house! Beautiful location. Loved the scrapbook area. Lighting was great!( Im a light snob) Rooms were all clean and comfortable. It was so great, I booked the house to hold two retreats of my own before leaving! Looking forward to being back in May and October!

We have been to Rio River Retreat twice with a group of fellow quilters. Such wonderful accommodations for quilters and crafters in a beautiful setting. Affordable and well worth the drive for a peaceful setting.

5 stars! 5 STARS!!!! 5 freaking stars!!!!!
Melissa and her husband were amazing hosts! It’s a beautiful area and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to do the wedding. Our wedding was stunning and memorable in every way. When we needed help Melissa stoped what she was doing to come help us! We had a great master bedroom for the brides to get ready and everyone that stayed had their own bed. The kitchen was plenty big enough to serve the 23 guests we had staying over night. It has a beautiful river running behind that is such a great touch falling asleep to. The barn ugh the barn was exactly what we needed! It was amazing. I can’t express that enough. Thank you for allowing us to have the most special day of our lives at your air bnb !!!

An unbelievable true log cabin. The craftsmanship performed with the huge timbers used in construction is incredible. Very clean, with enough bedrooms and baths to accommodate a small army. Along with a huge game room downstairs that sports a pool table and two sets of foosball tables. All backed up to the Rio Grande River. Hard to beat this place for a large family and friends.

We had such a great time with our Desperation Ministry Academy students for a Christmas Retreat at Rio River Retreat! The cabin is beautiful with SO much room for friends/family/guests! It is filled with everything you need and the owner is wonderful to work with! Absolutely stunning views of the Rio Grande River and surrounding area too!
