An absolute must. Food, fair and the best farm exhibits around. We spent an entire day, ate food from all over Alaska and bought much. Honey from all over farms, fresh oysters, homemade spinach cheese bread from talkeetna and so much more. The music at night is amazing!

We’ve been to the state fair two years now. It has something for everyone. All the fair food and rides. Plus distinctly Alaska exhibits like seal skinning and tasting. There was even rat roulette as a local fundraiser. Plus all the 4h animals and giant veggies. We like the art and homemade food competition and display. The circus was an unexpected delight. It was fantastic and included with admission.

While visiting family near Palmer, we spent a day walking around the state fair grounds. We enjoyed all the usual fair stuff like the greasy good food, the various performances on different stages, the excitement of the rides and crowd watching. My favorite part was seeing the giant vegetables, blue ribbon arts and crafts winners and all the animals in the menagerie. This year's giant pumpkin winner weighed 2,035 lbs!

It was too crowded, the lines were insane. 30 min wait at least for each ride. Couldn't even walk without getting bumped. It's good that everyone got out to the fair. It just sucked everyone did at the same time! ?

the best food during my alaska trip was eaten here. fry bread, talkeetna spinach bread, fried peanut potatoes were ALL amazing. my friends all loved their food choices as well. the seal skinning and anguyak dancers both seen at the gathering place were the best experiences. so glad we could learn some culture while having fun. definitely need all day to devote to the fair as it is HUGE.
