Beautiful scenic walk. Nice waterfall at the loop. Very nice walking/ jogging/ biking trail that travels alongside the road in Putnam CT. Love to jog it while my kids bike.

Been coming here for years to walk, always a great get away when you don't feel like going in the woods. Perfect distance for a basic walk with decent views of the area. Recently I did a Christmas photo shoot for a friend inside the ornament. The pictures came out fantastic, definitely recommend for the season for a cheap photo opportunity with your family. Lights turn on at about 4:30pm 😉

Very nice trail to walk. Many people walking g with their dogs and strollers. Shaded most of the time. Has a very large dog park. I like walking here about 2-3 times a week.

I mean there's a million great reviews about this place already, so I won't go nuts here, but will just add another positive recommendation to the chorus of folks who love this place. We are local and have brought our kids here since before they could walk. It's always a great place to stroll by the water, climb on the rocks, have some snacks at the picnic tables by the river. When I was a runner I would frequently run the couple miles down to the end and back, always felt very safe. They do loads of fun activities here through the ton. Always lots of restrooms...they're portapotties but whatever. They've always been clean and well-kept. Definitely a great place to check out, a great park right in the middle of Putnam. I would love if there were some great playground installation somewhere along the way - something like what Owen Bell in Danielson has - but hey, you can't have it all. Really though, totally recommend this great park.

Putnam is pretty fun, lots of decent restaurants in the area, decent parking and a nice park which is usually kept clean and orderly. We we're here for the car show and duck race which is usally in the middle of August annually. If you haven't been to Putnam check it out.
