This was a brilliant tour of the Thimble Islands! Cap’n Matt was incredibly knowledgeable, funny and engaging for the whole tour… thank you Matt! He adapted to suit the passengers interests and, as claimed, had really in depth information to share on each island. What a terrific day spent with Captain Matt and Captain Brian! I took my wife, son and granddaughters on a cruise to show them my seaside boyhood home of the 1960’s and early 1970’s. Matt was a very friendly captain. Though the weather wasn’t favorable, we took a short visit through the waters getting to know the islands. I would definitely visit again and I strongly recommend.

Great tour of the beautiful Thimble Islands on the Volsunga IV narrated by the charismatic Matt. Would definitely recommend the tour to anyone visiting the Branford, Guilford, New Haven, Stony Creek area for great stories and history of the Thimbles!

I've been on every one of the different tour boats over the years, this one with Captain Matt is by far the best. If you find the Thimble Island lifestyle as fascinating as I do, you get some really interesting stories and insight from a true islander. Entertaining and relaxing from start finish, absolutely loved it.

Captain Matt! An experienced, welcoming, friendly, laid back captain. What an amazing tour. Matt grew up on one of the Thimble Islands and he knows EVERYTHING about them. I wasn't prepared to be imparted with SO MUCH KNOWLEDGE!
