Our bear tour was cancelled by Alaska Shore excursions at the last minute, but Captain Keith from Alaska Hummer Adventures arranged another tour for us to see bears! We did an awesome tour with guide Jaime. First we booked for two hours, but we extended to four because we liked it so much. Jaime took us to the bear viewing at Herring Cove and waited patiently with us to see the bears. We visited a waterfall and visited the other side of the island, where we went into the rain forest and visited the beach. He was a great driver, very informative and a nice guy to be around. Thanks Jaime for this great tour, and thanks to Alaska Hummer Adventures for helping us out and being so flexible!

This was a great personal tour. Duane, our friendly and knowledgeable tour guide, took us to Lunch Creek Trail, Totem Bight State Historical Park, and Beaver Falls. He also took us for a tour of downtown Ketchikan. We stopped by the Green Coffee Bean Company for a great cup of coffee from a very friendly server. Duane had many good stories and historical info along the entire tour. We got to see a mama bear and her three cubs, an eagle, deer, and seals. He gave us a good tip on where to have lunch, Alaska Fish House. We had him drop us off downtown at the end of our tour and we stopped at the Alaska Fish House House for a great lunch. This was one of the best tours that we have ever been on.

Captain Keith Misty Fjords tour was amazing We were lucky the weather was good However the Aluminum Cabin Boat ACB that seats 6 was so much better than the catamaran It is truly a private 3 hour tour He is very knowledgeable of the area and the wildlife We went at the beg of fishing season Saw the commercial boats 4 orcas porpoise Eagles And a Seal worth every penny

This was, by far, the best experience I could ask for!

Chad (our tour guide) was highly educated on the area and every new turn lead to another pice of information learned. Be it local flora/fauna, foraging, or local history, he had plenty of knowledge to share about each subject.

Chad also knew where the best trails were and was more than willing to join us on even some of the more “vertical” trails. I can’t recommend this service, and especially Chad enough.

Also, please remember that if you book through a cruise line or other travel service, the tour guides rely on gratuity! Plan ahead and please bring some extra cash.

TLDR: Service is awesome, ask for Chad to be your guide, be sure to tip

Our guide Keith picked us up by boat right at our cruise ship dock. We enjoyed very scenic boat rides of about an hour to and from Margaret Creek. Keith led us to the observation blind, stopping to explain some of the interesting sights along the short walk. We had a fabulous show put on by “Scar Butt”, a female black bear, who caught four salmon about 50 yards from us. Photographers, 500mm will get you a full frame bear shot at Margaret Creek.
We got lucky, but even if the bear hadn’t appeared, Keith’s easy, enjoyable style would have been worth the trip.

My mother and I had a wonderful tour of Ketchikan with Alaska Hummer Adventures our capable, fun loving, guide Debby. She listened carefully to our list of what we wanted to see and do. She also made suggestions of available options within our requests that turned out to be a spot on read of our sight seeing goals and physical ability. We shopped, saw the town, eagles, totem poles, native lodges, beautiful views, even a black bear and her two cubs. We were comfortable the entire time and enjoyed ourselves completely. Thank you Debby for our wonderful day!

We were privileged to have Duane as our guide. He was a wealth of knowledge, super friendly, and was very welcoming. We were lucky to see a bear at our first stop!!! We saw some gorgeous totem poles, Natural waterfalls, toured the downtown area, had great shopping and visited local shops. I highly recommend this tour and ask for Duane.

This tour was absolutely one of the highlights of our Alaskan cruise! We booked directly with the company and the timing work out perfectly for our cruise arrival and departure from the port. Ted was an AMAZING tour guide and took us to the most beautiful stops in Ketchikan. He was so knowledgeable and kind (and very patient with our 8 year old!), and he went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company to others. And make sure to ask for Ted.
