I have stayed at hundreds of motels around the country and this is easily the dirtiest, stinkiest place I have ever stayed.|The bedding hadn’t been changed in who knows how long and it looked like it had been used as an ashtray.|The hundred plus burn marks went through all 4 layers of bedding and into the mattress.|The woman at the front desk “Gloria” said it was a smoking room and we should have requested a non smoking room when booking.|I told her that we would find another place or sleep in the car before we would ever sleep in that bed the way it is. We needed clean bedding. She came to the room to see, but she already knew it was gross. She got us clean bedding that hadn’t been through a fire.|Close to $170 a night for a slumlord motel.

They improved the place majorly from what it used to be jays motel up the road is the worst motel in the state drug and alcohol centural the motor lodge cracked down on all that and have police always watching over the motel so nobodys car will get broken into or stolen since the owners put their foot down theres no drugs around the motel anymore

I love the old school design of the building. The rooms were very clean with laminate flooring — no nasty carpet. Somewhere I read you have to request maid service for multiple day stays — that was accurate. But I liked that no one was in my room. Nothing fancy but it had everything I needed. I will stay again.

This place has really nice rooms compared to 2 years ago. I decided to give them another try and I was not disappointed. Area was quiet, our room was completely renovated, no smoke smell at all. The staff was amazing and friendly. We will definitely use this hotel again. So glad I gave it another shot.

Do not bring anything but an overnight bag with you, they will not let you take it into a room with you. My experience with this place is not too good. And your always being watched. Expensive for a dumpy place. I have 1 good thing to say though, the rooms are cleaner than Jay's motel! But that wouldn't take much.

This was a last minute decision to stay here. It was very clean. We got a king bed so we had room to spread out. The only complaint we had was that it was loud with street noise. The management couldn't do anything about that. We were very happy with the room we got for the location and the price. We were able to go to St Joseph's Church in Winsted, CT.
