The visitor center was closed. A lone employee said she didn't know when it would reopen. She offered pamphlets thru a screened window, but access inside was prohibited.

Beautiful views from the restaurant/bar. The people were friendly. Music was fun. The drinks were good. $3 beers. I had a pizza and it was good. I would visit here again. Convenient location but best of all was the view. It was nice relaxing by the window enjoying a cocktail looking out into the water and enjoying music.

Stop in and get some information about the local wildlife! And maybe grab a cool shirt or awesome postcards. They have a sweet mammoth tusk that a local fisherman found on the beach a few years back

Rather than offering advice on how to deal with bears, visitors of the female variety (of any age) should be educated on dealing with the slew of thirsty men that inhabit the region. As they say, "the odds are good, but the goods are odd." The Visitors Center has educated and super friendly and helpful local staff to highlight the local flora and fauna of the area.
