Captain Tack was super friendly. He met my husband and me at the dock, helped us on board the boat, and made us feel comfortable immediately. We sailed well into the Sound so that we got a good feel for the Sound and a nice view of the Connecticut shoreline. After we had sailed for about 2 hours and anchored near an island, Captain Tack prepared a superb meal for us to eat on the boat. We had a cheese course to start, followed by a cold salmon with a wonderful herb dressing, then a terrific beef bourgignon with potatoes and asparagus, and finally, a strawberry cake and chocolate pot de creme! And throughout our time together, we enjoyed easy and interesting conversation. A last bonus was seeing the sunset as we returned to the dock.

We booked a cruise for our anniversary, and could not have been more pleased! Captain Chris Tack is a delightful and charming host, in addition to being a competent skipper and an outstanding chef. We enjoyed perfect weather, and sailing aboard the Sequester - a classic, experienced and comfortable vessel - was an absolute joy. After a couple of hours, we anchored off a small island, where we enjoyed a crudite platter, followed by cold soba noodles with roasted peanuts and cilantro, then an Asian fusion dinner of roasted pork and 5-spice chicken in lettuce wraps with shrimp and a variety of home-made sauces (including an excellent XO sauce), and finally chocolate pudding and lemon-strawberry pudding in mason jars. The meal wold have been the pride of most high class restaurants, but prepared and served by Chef Tack aboard the sailboat, with the full panorama of a setting sun over the Sound, it was magnificent. Our special occasion became a wonderful experience, and now a fond memory which we look forward to repeating. It would be difficult to think of any ways the evening could have been more enjoyable, and we can unequivocally recommend Captain Tack, his boat, and his cuisine with the highest possible ratings.
