Free parking on street nearby, limited but seemingly the only place to legally park nearby (all surrounding lots warn no passport parking).

Made an 8am appointment. Was first on line and done with the process, walking back out to the car by 7:59. No stress whatsoever. Staff all friendly. Very pleased with my experience.

I’ve never had a more pleasant experience dealing with federal bureaucracy. Everyone was lovely, including the security detail. The process is streamlined and efficient. If you need a passport in a pinch, look no further.

My only qualm is the parking, as every lot in the area has signs that explicitly say “no passport parking”. I ended up parking on one of the side streets about 2 blocks away. Not a big deal. But be forewarned.

These people should be sainted. You must have an appointment to enter. I was seen very quickly despite a lot of people being there. Everyone is professional and is eager to help you. If you are confused about documents just ask the employees. I had a 9:30 am appointment and had my passport in hand at 1:15 pm. Could not recommend this place enough. They are the best.

I called on Friday for an appointment and was able to get in on Monday for an expedited passport for my 4 month old and it was the easiest experience ever. From the check-in with security to the agent who explained everything in depth I’d skip the city (coming from LI) and come back here any day. We were in and out in 20 minutes.

Tip: There is free street parking available on Ludlow St - do not park in parking lot.

I rarely write reviews but i can’t stress enough how amazing this place was! I leave for an international trip in 6 days and i was stressing realized my passport is expired. I immediately panicked and made an appointment. As long as you have all your documents which it’s recommended to research that prior to your appointment, you’ll be just fine! My appointment was at 10:30 and i was out by 11:45-11:50. The people there were so nice and helpful and i didn’t feel rushed during the process. My passport comes Monday and i leave thursday. Thank you so much Connecticut passport agency!

Wow where do I start?!…. I had read some great reviews about this location, but as we all know you have to always see for yourself. It is a government office and some offices have staff that are always very rude or miserable and always seem to forget that they are there to service the public. But this agency this location more like it, left me speechless!! From the first officer you encounter down to the agent actually processing your paperwork such amazing people. I had all my paperwork in order and was sent upstairs by the first window employee super nice lady. Went upstairs and was told I needed a new picture. Here I go in my thoughts like “oh man I have to google a place now to take a new picture”. ( I’m not from the Connecticut area). Well to my surprise I did not need to worry. I was sent to Margaret!! Margaret approached me and said with such a friendly smile “Hi, you ready?! I grab my things thinking I’m heading elsewhere when she said nope leave everything there I’m just retaking your picture.( I believe this service is only if the picture you brought with you wasn’t taken properly, & it’s at no extra charge.) I was like 😳🤯!!!! I never knew they started retaking pictures for you. I was sooooo shocked!
She even gave me a moment to go into the restroom to fix my hair. I came back out & she said “you can give me a big smile if you like”. Of course I gave her a smile big, but more so bc i was shocked at this whole experience!!! She showed me the pictures & allowed me to choose the best one. I couldn’t stop smiling. They also take Tap Pay! Which made my life sooooo much easier! This location should provide training to ALL government offices on how they should treat the public. I commend Margaret & everyone at this location for such an outstanding job. I know dealing with different personalities, every time they call next is not easy. But they seem to keep the energy so positive throughout the day and to me that is so commendable!
Oh and I was able to get my passport the same day. Margaret gave me a list of food places in the area and said come back this afternoon. Just so grateful bc like I mentioned I’m not from the area & to be given something so thoughtful was just amazing and heartfelt. Thank you!!!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I would like to express my sincere accolades to Jason one of the staffs here when I called the number here in this agency. I have a problem since my two sons have expired visa and we will be travelling soon. He asked me that we have an appointment next week and he checked the record and he found it.
He was very kind and courteous in his communication. He has shown an official outstanding support. He even tried to help by looking some vacant slot time this week so that we can be accommodated. He even looked to other states like PA and NY so that he can help us. His very nice approaches and his manner of helping spotlights his stewardship attitude to help his fellowmen. As I observed Jason ( as he told me that's his name) , he is a role model of "Official Customer Service Agent with Passion and Mission" and I am very proud of him. He was not rushing but instead he was showing a down to earth attitude. It is of great hope that many will follow him and our world will be a better place to live in.
I would like to address to his leaders in the department to give him a special feedback regarding this matter.
