My husband and I did a trip with Paul in early August and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! We saw an amazing variety of seabirds and marine mammals and he knew exactly where to find the seabirds we had hoped to see. Oh, and the homemade smoked salmon spread at lunch was to die for! I highly recommend Gallant Adventures to anyone who has a passion to see marine life up close and personal. You will not be disappointed!

Amazing! Best part of our week in Alaska. Paul is so much fun and informative and his boat is fabulous! Not only did we see whales, but we saw puffins, sea otters, more whales, starfish and the “Crayola” cave. So thankful we were told about this incredible tour. Do not miss it! And he told us the best places to eat in Sitka! Paul, thank you for a wonderful day!

Paul Davis’ five-hour wildlife tour surpassed our expectations. We saw humpback and gray whales up close, at time just yards away. A couple of times we were close enough to smell their breath when they spouted. There were seals, sea lions, puffins, sea otters, and a variety of birds. We watched fishermen amidst a sea of jumping salmon. Paul’s knowledge of the marine ecology is extensive, and he shared it with us generously. He is an outstanding host. We will long treasure our memories of this exciting trip with Gallant Adventures!

We went on a tour with Paul a couple weeks ago and it was amazing! The weather was rainy and yucky so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It exceeded our expectations! We got to see so much wildlife including: seas otters, Sea lions, seals, jumping salmon, eagles, gray whales and humpback whales! Paul was super kind, knowledgeable and a great captain! You need to book this tour- it was the highlight of our entire trip to Alaska!

My family had the most amazing three hour adventure last week with Captain Paul and Gallant Adventures!! Sitka was our first stop in Alaska, and Gallant Adventures was our first excursion!! What a wonderful way to start our trip! ?
We saw whales, sea otters, seals, puffins, starfish, and many different types of birds. Paul was full of information about the different animals we saw and the Sitka area. We learned a lot and had a fun time doing so!
I did an extensive amount of research on excursions in Sitka before deciding to book with Gallant Adventures. What really impressed me was Paul's communication. I reached out to Paul in October 2023 for our August 2024 trip. He replied to my emails very quickly and answered all of my many questions! He gave me helpful information about the town of Sitka and some of the other things we wanted to do while in town. He was helpful and informative before we even booked with him. Paul also kept in constant contact via text the morning of our tour and literally met us as soon as we stepped off of the cruise ship shuttle bus. We couldn't have asked for a better experience from start to finish! We will definitely remember this day forever! ?

Captian Paul has my HIGHEST recommendation. I really can't say enough good things about him. Everything exceeded our expectations and it was truly the highlight of our entire Alaska trip. He was thorough in communication before the trip, met us at the bus bright and early, and took such pride in making sure we had a truly memorable time. We saw so much marine life and he patiently answered all of my son's questions. One after the other. Captian Paul is a true gem and anyone would be lucky to go on an excursion with him.

Best excursion we did on our whole cruise!!! We saw whales, otters, seals, and two bears! Paul was knowledgeable, the boat was fabulous, we learnt a lot! Paul gave great detailed instructions on when and where to meet, greeted us with our names on a sign, and made everything super easy. He was in communication with other boats to ensure we saw the best wildlife possible! Fabulous way to experience Sitka! If you are debating where to do whale watching in Alaska - highly recommend Sitka with Paul!
