Horrible customer service. Had an emergency where I ran out of oil. They would not take my money and refused to deliver oil unless I signed up for a contract. Told me "this isn't ordering a pizza" when I told them I had 2 children and just needed emergency oil. They will never get my business. Tamaro Oil saved they day and were incredibly timely.

Another heating fuel oil delivery where they charged me over 20% above the market price for the oil per gallon. In addition to that they made a delivery a short time after a previous delivery given the warm weather this season and it seems that they somehow managed to fit twice the amount of oil into my tank than it was capable of holding given the current level. Customer service talks to you like a broken record. I already pay for a boiler maintenance plan out of pocket. I Don't understand why they need to overcharge 20% or more per gallon to subsidize their maintenance fleet. Seems greedy to me if not price gouging. I'm considering contacting the BBB the Attorney Generals office as well as the county Dept of weights and measures to prove that what they say they delivered to my tank is actually what I'm paying for. May have no choice but to close my account if they can't rectify this.

Each time they would find a new reason to charge for extra service then canceled my account after completing the service that was paid for and state this is why my account was canceled. I couldn't take care of the balance being i was hospitalized so they sent me to collections. I did pay the balance ofcourse with their sunrise collection agency then Hoffman kept calling for the balance I even sent them proof of payment to sunrise collection. So frustrating. Just a little sus

Poor communication and customer service with a long time customer. Second incident in the last couple of months where I had to call the company due to low fuel levels. This will be the last time I renew our contract with them.

Hoffman Energy continues to come to my home and automatically fill my tank. My wife and I have both called and haggled with them ultimately getting confirmation that they had taken us off Auto Fill yet it continues to happen.

The amount of propane they keep charging us for / filling in our tank seems suspicious given our usage. I believe this company is scamming many in the local area.

Our heater is really old and kind of a punk. As a result we've had to call Hoffman a few times in the past two years. We have always received excellent service and the techs sent out have always been kind, timely and knowledgeable.

John was just here about 15 minutes ago and continued this tread, very grateful.

(Also Steve on the phone was wonderful as well!)
