Mansion was closed for a private event but no matter we walked the beautiful gardens and grounds of the park. The views were gorgeous. Lots of places to relax. Bring a lunch, bring your leased dog, and bring your sneakers but don't miss this CT treasure.

Just went to a wedding here this past Sunday and it was amazing! The ceremony was overlooking the Long Island Sound. The Garden was gorgeous!!!! I don’t know how much it cost but let’s just say it is worth every penny. Elegant, Sophisticated and the service was phenomenal. Every single person was a pleasure to deal with. It is a little far, but you can always shuttle your party to and from. We stayed at the Marriott in New London which is close to the Amtrak station. Fabulous for sure!!! Thank you for making it a beautiful day for the bride, groom, family and guest. 10/10 RECOMMEND 👆🤩🫶🏽💍😁 oh and the sunset there, WOW 🌅

We visited after Labor Day so the mansion was not open for touring today, however, we could walk the grounds and enjoy the beautiful gardens! There is a lot to see here at Harkness. The old water tower, the carriage house, the cutting garden, the formal garden, and the beach! Just beautiful. Its $15.00 for an out of state plate and requires a registration via an online system which is nothing but trouble! In theory, it should be quick and easy that way but it isn't! Ive visited many CT parks in the past 2 years and I have trouble every single time. Sometimes it is signal related, other times the system doesnt recognize passwords, its terrible, and likely discourages out of state visitors. I do hope they can make this system easier and much more reliable in the future.

Great way to spend a lazy summer afternoon. We took a walk around the mansion and admired the gardens. It’s like visiting the Newport mansions, only better because it’s free for CT residents. A beautiful place to visit.

Perfect place for a wedding, graduation party, birthday, any occasion you can think of. The history of the Eolia mansion is amazing. Beautiful sunsets. You should definitely cross it off your bucket list of places to see.

Eolia Mansion is, hands down, one of the best wedding venues in southern New England!

I'm a wedding photographer, so the way I look at places/locations is a little different than most people. Aesthetically speaking, Eolia Mansion (and Harkness) is a stunner as a wedding venue. You're guaranteed to be sold on the beauty.

The way the State of CT runs events here is very good, using a list of trusted and preferred caterers from which couples choose and also giving some options for ceremony locations. Being outside of Mystic and being able to have your reception go later into the night is great, too!

This wedding photographer highly recommends that you give Eolia Mansion a look for your wedding day!

I had a wonderful time wandering around the park and gardens if eolia mansion, unfortunately I didn't get to explore the interior due to it being closed when I went. The park is expensive and has lots to offer, from public beaches, large fields to hold outdoor parties and picnics, to the mansion itself and it's gardens. I would love to go back in the future to look inside the mansion because it seems beautiful!
