I visited Nardelli's for the first time yesterday and I'm already back to check out more of their huge menu selection. What a great deli. They obviously put extraordinary care into their display, preparation and food freshness. And really big portions - these are not small sandwiches. My compliments to the owner and entire staff

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Nardelli’s Grinder Shop, and I cannot recommend their catering services. I ordered lunch for a medical office, catering for 20+ people, and spent over $250. You would think that spending that much money at a business would guarantee at least a basic level of respect, but that was not the case.

When I politely asked for bowls (because I had ordered soup) and plates for the sandwiches, the manager rudely asked, “Oh, you forgot your paper goods?” At first, I was confused because I wasn’t aware that asking for basic serving items was an issue. In my 8+ years as a rep, I’ve never had to pay extra for paper goods when catering an office lunch—especially for something like bowls, which are not something offices typically have lying around.

The manager then told me I could pay $18 for them, which was outrageous considering I had already spent $250 on the food. The rudeness of her tone made it worse. The whole interaction was unnecessary and unpleasant.

To top it off, the manager repeatedly mentioned that the business has been there for 15 years, which felt irrelevant and only highlighted how stuck they seem in their poor customer service practices. Unsurprisingly, the place was dead when I arrived. I will not be returning, and I’ll be sure to share this experience with my team to avoid recommending them for future lunches. To top it off she wouldn’t even give me a receipt. It’s a shame that such rude and dismissive behavior overshadowed what could have been a simple and positive transaction.

I had the Danbury store cater a work event. It started with the owner helping to make the right choices. They were right on time, the food was extremely hot, the spread was incredible and the food was beyond expectations. The price was reasonable as well and it fed the staff for a few days. Everyone was so impressed. I particularly found the stuffed shells and the signature salad extremely tasty. In fact, I need to bring an appetizer to a party so I ordered a tray of shells. I also have gone in for lunch for tortellini salad or broccoli and cavatelli and it never disappoints.

Nardelli’s is the finest Grinder Shop ( All their food) is outstanding!!!! The staff is so polite and sweet. I Love seeing Queen, one of the owners. She feels like a friend. Honestly Best Food in Danbury and maybe Connecticut!!!! 5 Stars!

The food is fresh and delicious. The portions are not small.
I love the fact that the owners actively run the business.
The place is super clean. The staff is always friendly and helpful with suggestions.

There was a group of about 20 people ordering ahead of me, so I was worried we might be waiting a long time for our food. The staff wasn’t phased and got everyone’s orders out super quickly, and it was well made! Staff was also very friendly. Great location!

Nardelli's has an excellent variety of grinders, sandwiches, salads, deli meats and desserts. I tried the Turkey Grinder and it was incredible with a cheesecake parfait for dessert. Highly recommended if you are in the area.
