From the sculptured grounds to the exquisite foyer with this ginormous crystalled chandelier, Villa Borghese does not disappoint. We attended here for a surprise party and while it appears small on the outside, the venue itself is beautiful. I was impressed by the sculptor next to the outdoor wedding area and the room we were in was perfect for the size of the party.

There appears to be a rooftop area I would have loved to shoot, but it was inaccessible during the event. The event was self-park and parking is plentiful and a bonus feature was a coat check area that was self-service. As the holiday season was in full swing, one thing that stood out in the foyer entrance was the fireplace decorated for the holiday.

I recently attended a holiday event at Villa Borghese and I had an experience that I cannot overlook. One of the owners was shockingly rude and obnoxious, which completely overshadowed what should have been a joyful occasion.

While I was playfully dancing with a poinsettia plant, a random person—who turned out to be the owner—approached me in an extremely condescending manner. At first, I thought he was joking, but it quickly became apparent that he was not. He aggressively reprimanded me, assuming I was trying to steal the plant, despite the fact that it was clear I was simply having fun with it. What really bewildered me was that he singled me out among a crowd of people, many of whom had walked away with plants and other decorations.

His behavior not only belittled me but also embarrassed me in front of everyone else around. It was an uncomfortable situation that unnecessarily drew attention to me for something that was simply meant to be light-hearted. To make matters worse, my friend felt compelled to ask him for an apology. When he finally did come over, his insincerity and sarcasm only added to my frustration.

In this day and age, it’s disappointing to encounter such rudeness, especially from a business owner. It’s not just about poor customer service; it’s about treating people with basic respect and dignity. I hope those considering visiting Villa Borghese take this experience into account. There are many wonderful places out there that value their customers and create a positive atmosphere—this is not one of them.

Very rarely do I post reviews, so with that said…let me tell you about the thanksgiving feast; every dish was delicious, and the TURKEY- was the star of the show! It was juicy and every bite was smoky and flavorful. Nicole, the sales manager, was so kind and went to the back to check if they were still taking orders the day before thanksgiving, and I got lucky there was a cancellation. I WILL NEVER EVER cook for thanksgiving again, as long as VB caters thanksgiving dinner. I will be the 1st one ordering next year! If you are looking to cater for an event, look no further! (Chef’s kiss)!!!

Had my wedding here in 2023 and it was perfect! Nicole was the best- very organized and helpful in planning our day and executing our vision. The food was amazing- especially the cocktail hour. Our family and friends still tell us how much fun they had at our wedding and how great the food was!

Went here for a retirement dinner which I think this is the perfect place for... I'm not sure I'd book a wedding here though; more on that later. The food was very good, chicken masala, mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything tasted good. Before the meal, pasta was served and there was a brownie sundae for dessert. The servers were friendly and did a really nice job of being as unnoticeable as possible during the speeches. A few issues though, very little water at the tables and not enough bread. But it was a large crowd, so I'm sure it was difficult for the wait staff to keep an eye on everything especially with all the speeches going on.

The two negatives were the floor tiles were raised in some areas of the dance floor catching the heel on my wingtip dress shoes resulting in a couple near slips. The other huge problem, which really should be addressed ASAP, is the lobby smelled like the sewer had backed up. I wasn't the only one who noticed this as several people mentioned the odor in the event room. The smell was particularly strong in the lobby after the event was over. I have to assume this was just a very unfortunate, one time, occurrence. But, a big turn off and the biggest factor for the 3 star rating. If everything else wasn't as good as it was, the smell alone would have resulted in 1 star.

I am beyond pleased with the service I received from Joe and his team. They were very helpful and always willing to answer any questions that I had. They worked diligently with me and my mother to make sure my daughter’s sweet 16 was the event of the year! It truly was. If you are in the dutchess county area and are looking for an experienced and classy event hall the Villa Borghese is the perfect venue!

EXCELLENT EXCELLENT I have a had my share of catered food amazingly great taste good seasoning. Just a great job overall the drinks the service so professional. Clean omg I was surprised. I live about 2 hours away and dreading the ride it was for a family member but was so glad I did. The pasta the steak the dessert EXCELLENT EXCELLENT 😋
