We visited Italy with Collette Tours, and toured Tuscany and Umbria. It was a 5 Star experience! Everything was extremely well planned, the hotel selection was fabulous, and the program very well done. It was the perfect mix of sight seeing, culture, education, and local impressions. Our tour guide Luca, together with our bus driver, was very, very knowledgeable, and they provided an excellent tour experience. The restaurant recommendations and selections were spot on. We always felt independent and part of a great tour. Collette Tours is the very best way to travel in a tour experience.

In 2024 I took two Collette trips and had a wonderful time! I recommend Collette for travelers who are looking to learn and be active while touring new destinations.

The Canadian Rockies by Train tour in Fall was beautiful. My Collette Tour Manager, Clare Martin, was amazing- knowledgeable, kind and very organized. The itinerary was so much fun and the hotels were great. We spent a lot of time outdoors, exploring the national parks, lakes, mountains and towns. Banff & Lake Louise were stunning! The food selections were varied and incorporated a lot of local flavors. There was a fair amount of down time if you do not elect to partake in the optional excursions.

Sunny Portugal in October was the perfect time to go. My Tour Manager, Jose Eleuterio Alves Nunes Ferreira, ensured our group saw the best of Portugal! He was able to surprise us with live music and wonderful local treats each day. The optional excursions for a cave and grotto boat cruise as well as the Fado night were exceptional. I enjoyed the Algarve the best, but our itinerary was outstanding. We even had a picnic, on a mountain side, with a bread making demo.

On both trips, Collette used brand new Mercedes Benz motor coaches with excellent drivers. We were kept safe and well attended to the entire trip. From the hometown pick up transportation to the airport to the flight scheduling, all our needs were met.

I cannot recommend Collette enough! You’ll have a wonderful time, eat plenty of local food/drinks, and meet many fun loving individuals while seeing the best sights.

If you’re looking for a worry free group travel experience, Collette is perfect! You’ll be picked up at your door and taken to the airport. When you land at your destination, one of their professional tour managers will meet you at the airport. From there, you will be part of the highest quality tour company. They take pride in taking care of their travelers and creating memories in each location. Have loved every tour!

I went on a group tour through Collette. It was fabulous. Our Tour director, Paula, could not have been better. We went to Sicily and Southern Italy. Everything we did was so fun and the dinners were delicious. Paula made sure those with food issues had exactly what they needed. I am planning another tour next Spring and will definitely be using Collette Tours!

More than half of our tour days were rainy. Our tour manager said it was Italy’s rainy season when we complained.
Why offer a tour during the rainy season? Half of our group came down with colds. A few tours were canceled due to the weather.
Definitely don’t go to Italy in October.

My clients were always happy with Collette. They offer unique, not typical, trips where I was able to convert a lot of FIT clients to one of their small group trips. I love that they design everything themselves by people that live in destination too. They've always been a pleasure to work with and had my back if something went wrong. Super reputable company, financially stable (which means a lot this day and age) with a great and wide array of products.

I recently toured with Collette visiting the national parks. We visited many wonderful sights that many people would envy; Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons just to name a few!

Hotel check-ins done by Collette made checking in very fast and painless. I would not have gone to the first hotel if I had a choice as it was not efficiently run and accommodations were marginal at best but it was clean. Some in my group had issues with daily room service but I was fortunate to have my room cleaned and had fresh towels daily. It had an older elevator where it was quicker to use the stairs. The last two hotels were very nice, the last at the Lodge in Jackson Hole, Wy.

The tour bus was an older bus, where the PA system did not always work, had a cracked windshield and we were told not to use the bathroom (only for emergencies ) but there were frequent stops. It was very warm on our trip as they had to start the bus before we boarded to cool it down. Our tour guide was knowledgeable of the local areas and attractions. Obviously did not know the group she was guiding and she must usually guide unexperienced travelers and children as that is how we were treated. Repeating to be back on the bus on time and do not use the bathroom.

Due to the tour schedule there are early morning starts so if you like to sleep in, beware this type of vacation will not allow that. Late arrivals to the hotel on some days only allowed limited dining options as many restaurants close early and two of the included dinners were terrible. One being a catered meal at a local banquet hall where substitutions were not allowed and options were limited and the food was tasteless. The other being at a cowboy covered wagon ranch where the horseflies were as big as an "Indian Head Nickels" and they had an appetite as big as they were. Due to this and the manner in which food was prepared and served, would not have passed Health Department regulations. I’m actually surprised no one got sick by food poisoning. I would recommend that this excursion be eliminated from their tour. The quality of the food at these two meals was not very good.

In closing, I enjoyed the beautiful views and vistas seeing places that are once in a lifetime opportunities' and I traveled with a very close select group which is what made the trip enjoyable and pleasurable, not Collette Tours. It was relaxing to just sit back and enjoy the views. Would I take another trip of this type.... probably not.

I did the cowboy country tour that started in Rapid City, SD. The places we went to were great, e.g. Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Deadwood, The Badlands, and Mount Rushmore. However I don't think enough time was spent at each location, more time was spent in places like visitor centers and gift shops than I would have liked. Only one hour was allotted for Mount Rushmore. This tour seems to have been designed for people of a higher age group than myself. I am in my early 20's and was frustrated with the lack of walking around in the parks. The food served was mostly okay except at our farewell dinner there were horseflies surrounding us as well as the food. I over all had a good experience on this tour but that was mostly due to who I traveled with rather the tour itself.
