So this was my first stay at this location. I'm very particular about where I stay and usually look for 4+ star locations. Cleanliness is a must, good surrounding area, spacious rooms & indoor pool is what I prefer. I was a little weary as the reviews were okay. The location is crammed between another hotel and the Prime restaurant. So not a lot of parking and is smaller than some of the other location near the Casino's. But that's probably not a bad thing because smaller crowds. Checking in was quick & easy the gentlemen at the front desk was professional and courteous; I wish I did get his name. The first floor area was also decent with open seating and a little fireplace. The room was a good size, had a decent model twist and clean. And did have a mini fridge & microwave but were hidden so that was nice I've stayed at other hotels and I hate when it's in a kitchet by the door. I don't smoke but the balcony added some additional space and was nice to be able to get some fresh air when needed.

We had an excellent stay. The room was clean, the hotel was quiet (even though it was a full house for NYE), and the staff was super friendly. A special shout out to Mateo at the front desk! He was genuinely one of the best, most accommodating customer service employees I have ever encountered.

Wow wow wow! We literally just walked in our room and I automatically had to leave a review, we were coming from a family members house and needed to stay in a hotel before Christmas, as well as it being our anniversary, I unfortunately with the snow didn’t think we were going to be able to make it this evening so I tried to get a refund, with a whole big mix up I was unable to get a refund and we just decided to push through and try to enjoy our anniversary. We just made it here. I have nothing but amazing things to say already. They left us a beautiful bottle of wine (complimentary) the room is incredible, clean, well taken care of. Everything is perfect. They have really make this the most incredible anniversary and it’s only just started. Thank you Marriott!

Nice clean place!! Parking lot is a bit small/crowded. However, the customer service on the first day of my stay has been absolutely top tier. Staff is super friendly and helpful! Would recommend!

Nice rooms great staff, but only one employee working in the hotel on a holiday weekend? Made everyone wait, check in was 4 deep when arrived on a Sunday night and no one at the counter. Plus if you are expecting to take a dip, in the hot tub… it is filled with stones and plants… maybe that should have been listed?

I'm a pretty loyal Courtyard Marriott client, and that's because they are always a consistently better experience, and better value for my money, than anyone else. THIS place has set a new high bar even by those already high praises!

The staff were 100% without exception the friendliness set of hotel staff I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. From the reception desk to the Bistro staff to the cleaning people in the hallways, everyone greeted us with a smile and seemed genuinely happy to be doing their jobs to make us feel welcome.

On top of that, Courtyard properties always seem to have the most amazing showers. That may not seem like much, but after a long drive or a long day of walking around a town like Mystic in the 90-degree sunshine, that shower's value can't be overstated. Again using that high bar as a measure, this particular Courtyard knocks it out of the ballpark! The shower was strong and hot and about as perfect as I've ever seen. And BTW - the shower door didn't leak water all over the bathroom floor!

One more kudo - the AC in our room. Even Courtyard rooms I've stayed in have suffered from the problems of room AC units being too loud, cycling too often, not working well, or some combination thereof. The AC in this room is audible but quiet, and when it cycles - not nearly as often as others have in the past - it doesn't wake me up.

I've probably stayed in 50+ Courtyard hotels over the past 20 years, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that this one was the best of the best.

Staff was very friendly and took good care of us. My back felt the best it has felt in awhile after sleeping here. Right off the freeway just outside of town.
