My grandparents started going to the “chef” in the 50s and my family have been loyal customers ever since!

In the past couple years there have been huge improvements, the food is consistently much better, they’ve have made some good menu upgrades and now have exciting specials!

Best part has to be the strong cocktails!

I haven't been here in years, mostly because they used to have a cash only policy and I haven't carried cash in years. Food was every bit as good as I remember as was the service. The restaurant has not aged one bit, it's like walking into the actual 1960s and not in a reproduction way. Now that I know they take cards I will be stopping in more often.

Well, my friend and I went there for the first time and we both ordered burgers and when I asked for extra napkins because you know how messy burgers can be, the waitress said this is a no napkin restaurant. WHAT!!! They only allow only napkin per person!!! Are you freaking kidding me!!!!! And the burgers were good but because of the no extra napkins, we won’t be back!!!

I have been coming here for 59 years and the chicken in the basket is still a awesome. Charcoal Chef is an excellent family restaurant. Oh please go back to the glass sundae 🍨 dish, the plastic one is so messy. Thanks for 59 years of awesome food and memories.

The atmosphere was very nice, old fashion country. Service was very slow and there were not many people.
The cheese burger was very bland and tasted frozen. Coleslaw was bland as well and the beans tasted like B and M brand. We won't be back.
