Wonderful visitor center in Coldfoot AK. Nightly ranger talks and a great selection of cards/items in the gift shop. Definitely worth the drive up the Dalton Hwy.

Very helpful, They answered all of my questions about the mammoth tusk that they were doing some preservation work on. We saw them preparing to do the preservation when we were heading northbound, and saw the finished product as we were on the southbound leg of our trip

The staff is so lazy they could not even tell us they didn't open until noon even though there were people waiting to go in . It is typically BOLM people. Kill the animals to serve the rich. We were there at 9 AM when most parks open not this one.

Great staff in a lovely but remote location! If you are in Coldfoot, be sure to visit them! The area is beautiful and the staff are helpful and friendly. There is a good gift shop here and lots of displays to see. Clean restrooms are always nice to have available and you can find some here! There is a trail around the center that is worth walking. Since the location along the Dalton Highway in Alaska is so remote, this is not one of the more visited centers of its kind, but if you travel through Coldfoot, make sure you stop in to see it!

Very helpful staff. This is where you get your official certificate that you have been to the Artic Circle. Staff are very knowledgable about all things in this part of the country. We were here July 2022. Several Tundra smoldering fires on the Dalton hyway to the Artic Circle. The only animals we saw were chipmunks. Quite a bucket list experience. We saw bike riders on this road as well. Their intentions were Prodhoe Bay to South America.

The visitor information here is beneficial, with such a vast region, the staff has to be well versed in physical relief of the area as well as customs of indigenous and modern people. Our families were able to have their children go through the popular Junior Ranger program.

This place is a gem!

We visited after they’d just opened for the season and we weren’t sure what to expect.

The place is very nice with a lot of great exhibits as well as short manicured trails to various notable things to see.

In addition, they hold 8:00 presentations from the staff each night. We caught a presentation on geomorphology! While it might sound boring, it was actually really captivating, and we could tell our speaker was super excited to share with us.

Make the stop if you’re in the area and check this place out!
