We took red while going and blue while coming, it was total 4 miles and took us around 2 hrs and 30mins. Very beautiful! We did it in first week of November and there were many leaves on the group and that make it slippery at some spots. Great trail and view was amazing! We will go again! Well marked trails too! Parking lot is small though.

This is a .5 mile trail and if you make it a loop, it will total to 1 mile; it's on yellow and red blazed trails. This short trail connects to the longer West Mountain Trails. The parking lot was spacious and it could fit a few vehicles. There was a kiosk and right next to that, a trail that forks; one is yellow and goes down the stairs and the other is red.

We took the yellow trail which brings us down some rock stairs, and it was flat and easy after that. The trail was blazed nicely and it had some roots but it wasn't too bad. We got to the wooden bridge that goes over Hop Brook; there was an old stone wall and remnants of a dam. There is another other set of stairs and a picnic area if you do the loop back to the parking lot. Overall, it is definitely one of my favorite short trails. I look forward to going back and hiking this short trail again; as well as the West Mountain Trails, which is connected to this.

Gorgeous hike, varied terrain - a little bit of everything
Took red to blue along the reservoir, great waterfall. Over the bridge to white them back to red for ridgeline vista.
Trail description of rocky and seasonally wet is accurate, but well worth it.

We had an excellent hike up the blue blaze trail. It was wet in spots and 2 of our party got wet feet. We spotted iced waterfalls and a few cardinals. It was early afternoon on new years day and we saw 6 other parties hiking, mostly with dogs. Half of them were masked. The car park was overflowing when we got back to leave, and other cars parked across the street. We'll be back!

Really liked this trail...it's long and not an easy hike(the blue trial is easier)We took the red in and blue out... The red trail is well marked.. the blue is missing markings along the way...very muddy in spots ..hiking boots a must

I only recently found this hiking area, but it's been great both times I've visited! There are a few trail options, which will keep me coming back. The red trail had a few steep climbs, and plenty of gorgeous scenery. There isn't a ton of parking in the dirt lot, but nearby public spaces are there for carpooling.

Beautiful location right around the corner from my house. The Blue Trail is pretty mild head through the valley next time I'm going to try The Red Trail Circle. Can't wait. Careful on approach to the site you can drive right by. My phone GPS told me to write at the spot to take your turn.
