Picked Eddie's with no prior knowledge. Had an absolutely amazing time. We were treated like old friends. Eddie came out and spent time with our group and helped us celebrate our friend's birthday with some to-die-for desserts. The waiter serving water didn't have much of a sense of humor and that may be where any bad reviews might come from. Our regular waiter was over-the-top nice, funny, knowledgable and honest. Eddie knows how to make food right. Would highly recommend it and will go back. Honey-badger knows best.

I have eaten here several times now and never been disappointed. Most of the time, we just order a variety of appetizers and leave it at that because they are so good. Chicken drumsticks, lollipop lamb chops, it is all very good. Service is top notch and there are a variety of seating options for groups, privacy, etc. Bar is well laid-out as well and the bartenders do a great job with a dorty martini!

My wife and I went on a Saturday night. My first impression was .. way too loud. I like to be able to talk with my wife at dinner. Second impression, the tables we were set at were too close, I really don't want to be closer to a stranger than my wife. So, if someone likes a noisy place where they can mingle with people they don't know, it's a great place to go. Just not for me. The bar was very busy, so I guess the other guests must like the noise level. If I go back, I'll ask for a table further from the front, it might be quieter.

The server was prompt and courteous, and knew the menu. My wife ordered the lobster bisque, and I ordered the shrimp appetizers. The shrimp appetizers were amazing, perfectly cooked with a great breading. My only complaint was that the horseradish was not mixed well and I got a big glob of it towards the end. I like horseradish, so it didn't phase me. Just cleared out my sinuses. I'd suggest to anyone ordering it to be very aware of each bite. The lobster bisque was average, had a mild flavor but could have used some browned butter to make it excellent. Both were well priced for the quality.

For the main course, my wife ordered the salmon and I the rib-eye steak special. She ordered a half meal (we aren't big eaters) and it was the perfect size. The salmon was good, and the rice was excellent. But the eggplant in the deconstructed eggplant caponata was tough, my wife only took a couple of bites. Sounded better than it was.

The steak was $38 and not worth it, $20 maybe. A better cut with less gristle and either an outstanding rub or sauce would put it back up there. I wanted to try another dish, but the server suggested the steak was the better of the two. It was also twice the price. Wonder if she gets a commission? The steak was cooked well with a great grilled flavor, but it was supposedly rubbed with a chile seasoning which didn't come through. The cheesy grits were amazing, and the asparagus was cooked well but nothing special.

All in all, we won't make the trip from East Mesa back to Eddie's for dinner unless someone else wants to go or we get a 50% off coupon. I simply didn't find the food worth the trip, I'd rather go to Posh. It was pricey for the hit-or-miss quality of the food, we spent $80 and didn't have dessert and my wife only had one drink.

However, we would go back for happy your and appetizers. It is a pretty nice place and I'd love to have some more of that shrimp. I just don't want to keep ordering the entrees to see what's good, my wallet isn't big enough.

Everything on the menu is delicious! Start with at least two appetizers, one must be the lamb and hummus. We had the East Meets West Halibut and Tuna for an entree and it was amazing. We finished the night with the Tiramisu. Imagine the best ice cream cake you could ever have and add tiramisu. This place has the best food in Phoenix hands down no matter what I order.

My husband ordered the half chicken & I ordered the fatoush & asparagus risotto. The chicken and fatoush were delicious. The risotto was a bit too garlicky, at least for me . Ricky was our server & was wonderful; very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu items & treated us great. Overall we would come back.

We have been thinking of trying out Eddie's House for the past couple months. For the holidays, my brother from PA sent my parents a gift card so we said we would join them last night for dinner. We called, made our reservation 4 days prior and we were set.

Until, we invited another couple from Phoenix to join us as well. We called to increase the reservation number but they said they didn't have us down and were unsure we could get a reservation. We're not sure why they said that. Were they packed and had no more tables? Was the person unable to write something down? This was the first sign of poor management. They finally confirmed out reservation and we were set?

When we arrived at the restaurant the greeter didn't see us on the books but said she would get a table ready for us. The bar was packed but restaurant was cold and empty. We decided to enjoy a couple drinks at the bar. the service was friendly and prompt. When we were seated we found it odd that she crammed 6 of us onto a large 4 top but we made it work.

We were greeted by a very nice waitress and she told us all about the specials of the night. Everything sounded good the menu looked good and we were set. We ordered and were having a fun time even though we all still had our jackets on at the table. We mentioned to the waitress that we had a gift card while we were getting our appetizers and she said that the gift card was no longer valid because they had canceled their contract with the gift card company. WHAT? The gift card was purchased less than a week ago and has an expiration date of 3/2015.

This had everyone at the table puzzled and she sent out the manager. HE was smug and arrogant. He said there was nothing he could do about it, smiling at us, telling us to take up the matter with the gift card company. Double WHAT? This caused a bunch of disappointment and uneasy conversation at the table. No more than 5 minutes later a table next to us was experiencing the same dilemma.

After everything calmed down the meal came out and was really good. The waitress, the food runner and bus boys were all professional.

After another conversation with the manager he reluctantly gave us a couple deserts of his choice that we didn't really want but they were also good.

The reason this review didn't get a 1 star is because the food was good.

The management of the place was horrible. We doubt anyone in our party will return. There are too many restaurants to choose from around here to with better than average management and staff.

A friend of mine told me about Eddie's House and boy was he right! The food is off the charts, fresh and creative, and the service was great. Aside from the great food and service, the restaurant happened to be running a BOGO that night and the server told us about it! I will definitely be back and bring some friends along.

Took a group of 8 on a corporate trip and we absolutely loved this place! Unbelievable food, drinks, and desserts. The service was phenomenal and next year we'll be back during our conference! We had an assortment of menu items and everyone in the group was beyond pleased!
