I always feel bad about writing a bad review because I believe most businesses are genuinely trying to provide the best possible product or service. However, I feel that other folks considering using this company should know about my experience, which, from the other reviews, may or may not be what others have experienced, too.

I gave this company two stars instead of one because 1) They were very responsive and communicative, and 2) The cleaner they sent out did a fantastic job of cleaning out the inside of the fridge and microwave, and vacuumed out all the crap in the windowsills.

Unfortunately, that's where the positives end.

To give a bit of context, this company was hired by our outgoing tenants to perform a move-out clean of our apartment as required by the lease agreement. Our tenants were quoted 2-3 hours of work to perform a move-out clean. This company only sent out one person and the cleaner was on site for 8 hours and 40 minutes.

After the cleaner left, I went to check the apartment and there were some very obvious things that were not properly cleaned, or even touched at all. The toilet had not been cleaned, there was soap scum in the shower, the insides of the cabinets had not been wiped out, food drips still on appliances and the walls, etc. All pretty basic stuff...

I called the owner of the company the next day to explain some of the issues I found, and he was very responsive and sent out the same cleaner again for another couple of hours the day after the initial cleaning. To their credit, the toilet was cleaned after the second time.

After over 10 hours of a cleaner on site, the apartment was still not clean. Among other things I found after going through the apartment after the second time the cleaner came out, there was still soap scum on the shower, which took me all of 15 minutes to clean myself with scrubbing bubbles foam spray and a magic eraser.

The photos I am attaching with this review show just a few of the many oversights by the cleaning company that I discovered AFTER they sent someone out a second time. They show BEFORE I cleaned what I found once the cleaning company as done, and AFTER I personally had gone through and cleaned myself. (Did not get a before picture of the stove top before I drizzled on the cream cleaner, but you can still see the dark food rings around the burners in the before picture.)

All this to say, I would not use this company. They do not do a thorough job. I am having to go through and re-clean almost everything in the apartment.

Last year we went with The Maids out of Danbury and they sent out four people and the apartment was sparkling clean in two hours flat—no complaints there about the quality of their work. We'll be sticking with them in the future.

Our cleaning crew, Desi and Jade, arrived on time fully prepared. They worked continuously for 4 and 1/2 hours doing a very thorough job. Desi was also very helpful in finding a misplaced key and hauling away garbage. Both ladies are also very pleasant and polite. I would gladly hire them again and recommend them to future customers.

I expressed to Kevin that I was looking to not spend over $200 on a cleaning job for a small studio apartment after comparing the price of a competing company. Kevin assured me the job will take about 3 hrs at $60 per hour. After 9 hours of cleaning the bill was $542 and the place was left with soap stains, an unclean toilet, and neglected cabinet surfaces. They sent the cleaner a second time…12 hours total of cleaning at this point (what happened to the 3 hour estimation?) and the space was still not throughly cleaned. Kevin says and I quote “We’re confident that the apartment was left in good condition.”
Just go with the competitor, at Northwest Cleaning company the customer is not valued and will be taken advantage of/mislead.

The housekeepers came by on time and did a deep clean of our new house so it was move-I’m ready! The house was sparkling after they left to the point i didn’t want to walk around and make it dirty! I would definitely recommend them. Prices were fair, and they still went above and beyond!
