Hans and Tanya went above and beyond to help us on our trip. We ended up having to leave early, not only did they fit us in last minute, but Tanya called every boarding place in Yakutat to find us lodging for the night! You can clearly tell how much Hans loves to fly the helicopter and answered all our questions about the area we were flying into and out of. Would absolutely fly with them again and we are so grateful Tanya took the time to help us when we needed it.

The flying experience was good, but Hans not very hospitable from the start. We arrived 20 minutes early and were treated as if we weee late. When we arrived at the drop off, Hans didn’t so much as give us two sentences to tell us where to go. It was worse on our fly back. We told him we would fillet our fish out at the river and that we would put them in bags for the flight back. When we were loading up to head back to Yakutat, he would not allow the bags on the plane on account of the slime that would get on the floor. He told us that’s why he offered totes and that we said we had it under control, even though we had told him ahead of time what we planned to do and he did not advise us otherwise. We had to put all the fish into our backpacks and even then he kept saying the slime was coming through even though we clearly showed that in fact nothing was leaking through the back packs. He did fly us over beautiful glaciers and mountains on the way back, which was appreciated. Upon return, we were charged more than we were quoted for before leaving. It is a good idea to get a firm quote before leaving. Unfortunately, I did not get Hans’ wife’s name, but she was very nice and pleasant. Overall, the flight service itself was good, but Hans’ customer service and attitude was not satisfactory as we almost had to leave all the fish we had spent all day catching.

My wife and I have flown Yakutat Coastal many times. Hans and Tanya are consummate professionals-and you certainly can see it in their aircraft and Hans' piloting skills. They are always helpful and flexible! Luv 'em!

I have flown with them 3 times over 6 years and they always offer first class service. We just returned from Diericks Tsiu River Lodge and on the return flight Han's went out of his way to fly us over glaciers and along the coast even tho he didn't have too. I highly recommend this company if you need any sort of flying service in Yakutat area
