We got married here in September of 2023 and could not recommend Kylan enough! The entire staff was so helpful during our entire wedding planning process/ during the day of our wedding and everything in between! The venue is AMAZING, we are still getting compliments!! Their recommended vendors are amazing to work with, and everyone made our day incredible! Seriously, 100000/10, best decision we made was picking Kylan as our venue!

Brides make sure you demand they treat the fly infestation and wasp nest before you show up for the wedding!!

My cousin just had a lovely ceremony and wedding here last night except for the apocalyptic level of flies in the venue. There is obviously a severe infestation inside the barn itself (because even 5 feet outside there were no issues) that is untreated. You couldn’t speak or move without at least a
dozen or so flies landing on you and/or flying in your eyes. They obviously do not treat the issue and it did not get better even with all the doors open.

There is also a massive wasp nest underneath one of the umbrellas over the ceremony location which fortunately remained dormant during her ceremony but shows an evident mistreatment for pests on the property.

The venue itself is beautiful (though very hot without any A/C so make sure to prepare guests, especially elderly in advance) but the bugs took away from the entire experience.

I've always pictured my wedding day and every single detail that would go into it! I had always imagined getting married in a beautiful barn and giving my wedding that rustic vibe -- Kylan Barn fit that image PERFECTLY!

On the first day we met with Rachel to tour the venue, we left and immediately knew this was the venue for us and they did not disappoint. They were extremely responsive and worked with us on everything from layout and vendors to day of schedule, and everything in between. They made everything effortless and gave us one less thing to worry about. The barn itself is beautiful and comes with these white drapes and lights wrapped around the poles, giving a rustic venue an elegant touch. The grounds themselves were absolutely beautiful and well groomed.

The bridal suite is the perfect space for you and your bridal party to get ready. It fit all of us perfectly, including our hair and make-up team. The best part is that it's attached to the venue so you're already there! You can even spy on your guests as they start to arrive. The airstream is the perfect spot for the groomsmen to hang out at, play some corn hole, drink some beers, and even take photos at. They had a gravel walkway with string lights leading to it on the other side of the parking lot.

We hired Rachel as our day of coordinator and are SO GLAD we did. She is absolutely amazing and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND hiring her if you don't have a wedding coordinator. We worked with her to make sure the layout was perfect and all of our decorations where in the right spots. She provided us with useful suggestions and made planning a breeze.

Rachel was able to handle all of the logistics with the vendors including their time of arrival and their set up beforehand and took care of them when they arrived on scene, allowing me to get ready and be worry-free. She handled all of my requests the day of, making sure that everything was perfect -- she even brought my husband and I food/drinks during our photos (which happened during cocktail hour) and managed the golf cart to take us around the grounds! Did I mention she is an ABSOLUTE gem to work with?

Our guests can't stop talking about Kylan Barn and we can't either! It was the perfect setting to say "I Do" and celebrate our marriage. We highly recommend this hidden gem in Delmar!

One of the earliest dreams a little girl invokes is that of a picture-perfect wedding. Naturally, you grow older the variations of the dream changes: the dress, the flowers, the music but the overall concept stays the same: the romantic venue. A venue that provides atmosphere that you cannot only describe but an atmosphere you can feel. That is the Kylan Barn. You develop a love affair with the barn from the moment you drive up the gravel driveway and see the peaks of the classic white barn. If you have not received complimentary butterflies by then, you will be sure to have them once you step inside the open-air, ballroom which is your blank slate to make your own. The fountain, the outdoor veranda, the bridal suite, the topiaries, the chandeliers, are just cherries on the top because in these moments, the venue is yours and made just for you. The barn’s staff is phenomenal: Kyle and Rachel. They helped us throughout the planning process and answered all the questions I had until 5 minutes before I walked down the perfectly landscaped hill. I was fortunate enough to be one of their Covid Brides (6/13/20), yes, I said fortunate. I have heard horror stories on brides and their vendors during the uncertain times that made me cringe. Not with Kylan and its staff. I had so, so many questions and concerns and emailed/texted them back and forth so many times. Kyle and Rachel were both very professional and easy to talk to, not only on a professional standpoint but on a personal as well, as they were being affected in so many ways than my 12-hour rental. This was their livelihood, a business they created and was having to watch the local area’s close around them, knowing they had 30+ brides to adjust too. But in the midst of dealing with many other lovely brides’ setbacks, I still felt like their number one priority. September 13th 2020 came and went and the day of my wedding could not have been more perfect. Kyle and Rachel took great care of us and I will never be able to sing praises high enough for these hard-working folks. I think my recommendation is crystal clear, the Kylan Barn is the answer to your fairy tale ending.

We got married at Kylan last week on 9/27/24 and I’ll start out by saying the venue is beautiful and the woods ceremony is very unique. We did enjoy our night.

With that said, I highly recommend AVOIDING THEIR COORDINATION SERVICE. We paid for month of coordination. It is expensive and quite frankly they did a terrible job as far as wedding day goes(their coordination ahead of time with setup/vendors was fine. They use the same vendors all the time so that was not an issue). The manager, Sam, was very rude with anyone she interacted with. Family and guests all had complaints after coming to her with any questions.

We were encouraged not to have a rehearsal the day before. Assured we would not need it and that someone would run through everything with us the day of. Well, this did not happen. On the day of, we specifically asked Sam on two different occasions if we could run through the ceremony with the wedding so everyone knew when they were walking, where to, etc. she again assured me “it’s fine you paid for coordination, someone will direct you.” Needless to say, no one knew what they were doing in the ceremony and the staff back at the ceremony didn’t know either. Not to mention everything was running behind and it was starting to rain, so I took it upon myself to lineup everyone and tell them how they were entering etc. Then after the wedding party started walking down, they let guests walk in between the wedding party. So we have some beautiful pictures of guest going down the aisle behind the flower girl and ring bearer. It just seemed like no one there had any idea what they were doing all day.

A few other concerns. They had no one direct guests or tell them the ceremony was in the woods. They had no one dismiss guests and lead them to cocktail hour. So again, after I walked out of the ceremony and was trying to take pictures, I had to go direct the guests to cocktail hour. I had specifically asked Sam earlier in the day about having a person welcome/direct guests and she replied “oh I don’t do that. I don’t go to the ceremony site.” If you are our coordinator why aren’t you thinking about this stuff? Also, they forgot to charge the golf cart which is used to go around the property for pictures after first look and to transport guests to the ceremony site. So after first look, we were told we only had 15 mins of use of the golf cart for pictures because they needed to charge it prior to guests arriving.

Last few things, we had a lot of cake leftover. I guess they threw it out without asking because I have no idea where the cake went. When a brother of mine went to the venue the morning after to pick up some coolers, Sam was very rude and would not allow him to even look anywhere on the property to see if anyone left anything. She did not allow him any access and said her staff would have taken care of it. I know for a fact there were a few things left, I guess they were thrown out. I don’t see why it would be such a problem for him to double check early the morning after. Another little annoyance, contract is for venue rental for 12 hrs. Our reception ended at 10pm, but were told we could not enter the airstream until 1pm that day. Not a big deal but still we should have had access earlier.

I hate writing a negative review but I feel it’s justified. The Last thing you need on wedding day is to be stressed about little things listed above. So venue is great, but avoid the coordination. Also I should add that one of the staff Caroline was great and I felt a little bad for her cuz it seemed like she was thrown into the fire a bit.
