This place rents out dirty cars and also potentially dangerous cars. I just picked this car up. Make up your own mind but a tire like this can be a problem in rain.

Bad experience! Last month I rented a vehicle from this location for a 2nd time.
I made reservations online, went to pick up the SUV, only to wait in line for 40 minutes before the attendant could get to me. The staff wasn’t well organized.
Didn’t have any major issues with the SUV.

I would prefer renting vehicles at airports. This place can do better.

Hertz has the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. The local branch doesn't answer their phones, and even after receiving confirmation and waiting an hour in the queue, I didn’t get the vechile. And the counter agent was extremely rude. Last weekend, I rented a car with just 10% fuel, and the agent assured me that if I returned it with more fuel, I’d get a refund. I brought the car back with 40% fuel, only to be told by a different agent, "I never promised that. I don’t care, talk to customer service." As a loyal Gold member, I expected much better treatment.
My advice: don’t bother making plans if you're renting a car from Hertz.

This is what an EV rental at Hertz look like. Car was not wash or clean. Interior was a “wreck”with panels falling from the side and chair. When I called Hertz to report, they acknowledged the knew about the car condition and its cleanliness before dropping it off at the repair shop for me to pickup. The agent said I can come in to switch to a different vehicle if desire but availability is not guaranteed. Why would Hertz rent this car in the first place?

Hertz has the worst Customer Service I have ever dealt with. The local Hertz does not answer their phones and after already receiving confirmation you're still unable to schedule your pick up which should be done at the time of reservation, instead you're told to call the local store to set up the ride knowing they clearly won't answer the phone. If you're using insurance due to a car accident, just go through Enterprise, sadly the extra dollars you pay in difference means you'll receive actual Customer Service and attentiveness from their representatives, unlike Hertz! I guess I'll spend the day waiting for my call back thanks for more inconvenience Hertz, Newark DE.

My family Made a reservation, got there and was denied a car. Now myself and my son are stuck. Completely and utterly ruined Christmas for us.. We almost had a chance at a Normal Christmas. Yall are the absolute worst. Why accept reservations knowing you don't have cars. I'll continue to tell everyone how this location treated us during the holidays. Edit to add since they answered. I'm a Helene survivor, I know all about unforseen circumstances, I also know yall could have helped my family.

I waited over 2 hours for my rental vehicle. They don’t even pick up the phone when you call which is literally in the instructions to call an hour before pick-up. The staff’s customer service is absolutely garbage because they don’t even give you any updates on why your vehicle is taking so long. I shouldn’t have to chase grown adults to give me updates on my rental when they should be doing that in the first place. Everything seems very disorganized and they couldn’t even accommodate the right size vehicle for me. DO YOUR JOB!
