I had an amazing experience staying at Wyndham Garden Dover for the race weekend! The hotel was ideally located just a short drive from the track, which made getting to and from the races a breeze. The staff was incredibly friendly and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay.
The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable. After a long day at the races, it was so nice to come back to a cozy bed and relax. The hotel offers great amenities, including a nice breakfast to start the day, and the bar area was a perfect spot to unwind in the evening.
The entire atmosphere at the hotel was upbeat and welcoming, and it felt like a great place for race fans to gather. It was also nice to have free parking available, which made things even more convenient.
I definitely recommend Wyndham Garden Dover to anyone planning to attend the race or just looking for a solid, comfortable place to stay in the area. I'll definitely be back next time I’m in town for a race!

Loved everything about this place especially the restaurant and bar in the same building. The rooms were clean the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of areas to visit. The building was a great location from shopping areas in which you could walk to. The gym was nice and clean. The room had nice cool air when dealing with my hot flashes. lol. The lounge area was very welcoming with nice lounge chairs and sofas. The breakfast was right on point with fresh eggs, bacon and so much more. I will definitely be going back ❤️

I am having an extremely frustrating experience trying to book a room at Wyndham Garden Dover (561 N Dupont Hwy, Dover, Delaware) for my university’s homecoming weekend (October 10, 2025). A friend of mine reserved 20 rooms in advance, so I called on February 18, 2024, at 11:04 AM to book my reservation under her group.||I speak with a representative named Patrick, who takes all my information and assures me that I will receive a confirmation via email. My friend receives hers at 2 PM that same day, so I expect mine to follow. It never comes.||At 6:30 PM, I call back to check on my reservation and speak with a different staff member. She looks up my information and finds that Patrick never added me to the system. When I ask if she can fix it, I am told that only Patrick can do so.||Today, February 19, 2024, I make multiple attempts to call the hotel to reach Patrick, but no one answers the phone all day. Frustrated, I attempt to book a room myself—only to find that the rate has jumped from $85 per night to $254 per night.||It seems like the hotel only realized it was homecoming weekend after the group reservation was made and then hiked up the prices. This is completely unfair to customers who planned ahead. On top of that, the lack of accountability and responsiveness from the staff is making the situation even worse.||This is a disappointing experience, and I feel I am being treated unfairly. I cannot recommend this hotel based on their unprofessional handling of reservations and price gouging.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay! The staff at the front desk were warm and welcoming, and the rooms were impeccably clean. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. I’ve already booked my next visit, and the beds are super comfortable!

Ive had an interesting experience at this location so I’ll put down some pros and cons to make it fair.
Pros:
1. great location in terms of proximity.
2. Rooms are clean.
3. Restaurant in the hotel is fantastic.
4. Staff is very pleasant.

Cons:
1. Hotel is generally really run down. Typically doesn’t bother me but this was a visible difference to most “older” hotels I’ve been at.
2. The safety latch in my room was broken and although I made several calls and was told it would be fixed, no one ever came to fix it during my entire stay.
3. The area is a little sketchy. Not super sketchy, but enough to make me aware of my surroundings more than usual.
4. The breakfast is abysmal. Its included in the cost of the room but you’re better off grabbing it elsewhere. There were hot plates, but all 3 days I stayed there, they were empty. And there was no one around to ask if they would be filled or anything. I went in the middle of breakfast service (not too early or too late).

Final thoughts: if you have the option and the means, I would skip this location and opt for another hotel in the area that’s a bit more reputable.

I will also add that the reviews for this location all seem to be stellar and it’s pretty shocking considering what I personally saw. I pretty much booked it because of the stellar reviews and the fact that it’s a Wyndham (which have been excellent in the past) but could not be further from the truth.
