A great time for our family hiking in the Cherokee National Forest with llamas! Something unique to do for the animal lover. My children, 15 & 17, thoroughly enjoyed. Especially feeding the llamas. Sandy was great to work with. Communication before and after was prompt. She was flexible and helped us easily reschedule when the forcast predicted rain. She was a friendly and knowledgeable guide.

We had a great time hiking with the llamas . Strongly recommend that experience. See below the comment from our grand daughter:
The hike was great! Luckily, we got a hike by ourselves so it was just three of us with the llamas, Rocky, king and chocolate moose! The guide was super nice and easy to talk to! We loved the llamas and they were so fun! Loved the trail, 10/10 recommend!

We had a WONDERFUL time hiking with Sandy and her llamas on the Hobbit Creek Trail in the Cherokee National Forest! Sandy was an excellent hiking guide! I loved that she took time in the beginning to tell us about the llamas and gave us clear directions on how to hike with them and what we could expect on the hike. She stopped several times to take pictures of us and let us feed the llamas. It was a beautiful day and Sandy made it a special experience for me and my family!! I would highly recommend this activity if you love animals & nature. The llamas were so sweet and friendly!❤️🦙🍂

Sandy was a great guide and her llama hike was so fun for our family! We each got our own llamas to walk, stopping several times to let the llamas graze and hand feed them snacks at the end of the trail. We got to chat with both Sandy and other members of the group, and highly recommend this experience for llama-lovers, parents, children, and anyone who wants to be up close and personal with these adorable pack animals 🦙

My husband and I visited in Dec 2024. It was a great experience. The llamas are very well socialized and easy to walk with. We would love to come back with our granddaughter. The trail is an easy hike and most anyone could do it. If you are close to Greeneville, it is something you would absolutely want to do. Sandy was a great host and when setting up the reservation, she was very timely with replies. We had a bit of an issue getting to town because of bad weather and she worked with us to make sure we could do the hike. We hope to be back in the near future.

8-30-23, A day my wife and I will never forget and we thank The Wandering Llamas for this! Our tour guide was Sandy and she was awesome and very nice. Her Llama was Quiet Riot, what a sweetheart! My wife had King Aragorn which was an awesome freaking touch to the tour as our last name is Aragon and I had Chocolate Moose, what an awesome Llama! The hike, the scenery, the Llamas, the time spent on this hike was just so perfect for an anniversary present to my wife and I! Getting to feed the Llamas was a wonderful experience. Everything was perfect especially for the animal lover in me! We never thought we'd do anything like this but we're both happy we did, the experience just walking with the Llamas is out of this world! We will do this hike again.... LOVED IT AND THANK YOU!

Sandy is a great host. She responds quickly to emails and she works with you to get a spot reserved for you and your family. The llamas are adorable and well behaved. The hike is easy and the path wide enough for beginners at Burnett Gap trail head. Sandy even takes photos of you and shares them after the trip. She brings snacks for the llamas and allows you to bring snacks for them too. I will never forget this adventure!! This was so much fun and I highly recommend it to anyone in the Greeneville, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Johnson City area.

I wish I could give more stars! My husband and I went for a 2 hour llama trek today and absolutely loved it. The llamas are so sweet and it was so peaceful walking with them in the woods. It’s very clear that Sandy loves the animals and it was lovely spending time with her and the llamas. We brought along graham crackers and got to feed the llamas while we all took a break! It was so wonderful, we would love to go again.
