Had an amazing time with my daughter kayaking! Price was great! The employees were so knowledgeable and kind. The wildlife we saw was awesome! 2 bald eagles herrings turtles deer etc. Will definitely use carried away outfitters again!!!

Staff and service were excellent! We had originally planned on tubing down the river but it was a bit chilly for that the day of. We were able to swap to kayaks with no problems. Had a beautiful time kayaking down the river and will 100% be coming back the next time we are in town. The staff were fantastic and the price for the adventure was extremely reasonable. Thank you for a fantastic time!

We enjoyed the 4-mile kayak trip on the Upper Shenango River, including the pleasant conversation about the college plans of the shuttle driver that took us to the put in location. This section of river has just enough obstacles (mostly downed trees along the rivers edge) to keep you on your toes. There are a couple of places where the passage is narrow due to trees that have fallen across the river, but these obstacles are navigable. Water level was good and there was only one shallow gravel bar that we had to work to get through. 4-mile trip took about 2 hours with paddling where necessary to keep the kayak moving in the right direction. At 11 AM on a Friday we had the river to ourselves, very peaceful, with a lot of shade. Only downside was mosquitoes.

We had a really nice two-hour kayak trip today.
The online booking was easy, and we signed our waivers online, which made it really simple. The river was peaceful, and paddling was pleasant. Owner Casey and Manager Glenn were both super nice and helpful. It's clear they enjoy what they do.

Such a clean river. So much wildlife. They told us it would be a four hour kayak trip but the water was very shallow and we floated a good deal of the way. We ended up taking 6 hours. Whoops! We should have been better at bringing snacks!

Original review: Yesterday, we stopped by and scheduled a kayak 4 mile for today at 4pm. Our day today was planned around this. My son had just lost a beloved pet so we were all pretty sad for him but he was still looking forward to kayaking. We had talked about doing this for 2 years now and finally scheduled it!

The guy who booked us took my name and number and told us to be there by 3:30pm. He told us this was their last day of their normal schedule so we felt lucky to have gotten in!

So we get there at 3:30pm and we're told there isn't a trip at 4pm and they asked when we scheduled. I said it had just been the day before when we booked the 4pm trip for today and he even mentioned that it was their last full schedule day.

First she said there wasn't a 4pm trip today at all but then later she said that they'd called and cancelled those in the 4pm trip. I don't know which it was but I never got a call at all.

Either way it was a big letdown for us all. We'd planned our day around this and we'd already had the disappointment and sadness of a lost pet that day. It was likely just a simple mix up but it still was disappointing.

Everyone was nice (hence 2 stars instead of 1) and I'm sure it is a great place but I'm still leaving a review of our experience so others can maybe call back and triple check their reservations around holidays as it seems they may just cancel for whatever reason. Im guessing maybe they didn't have a full group and perhaps didn't want to waste their time on just us?

Had a great experience. I wasn’t sure about it at first but the staff was great and reassured me. They were so kind and patient. I would definitely recommend!! 😊👍🏼 they definitely went the extra mile.
