We did the 1/2 day white water rafting trip with Richard as our guide and it was amazing!! The scenery is stunning!! The trip was the perfect length for us beginners with rapids that were fun, but not too challenging. We also got to jump off a baby cliff into the water and swim through some slow rapids. So fun, I definitely recommend the trip!

The booking, communication, and customer service were all top notch, smooth, and easy. But most of all, Richard made our trip! He was very knowledgeable about the history of the river and the area and's he knew the river like the back of his hand. With the directions and guidance he gave us, we knew we were safe with him. He could also be a stand up comedian, he was hilarious! We had the best trip, and hope to do it again next year!

Marty was by far the BEST guide for our white water rafting trip. We highly recommended requesting her if you book a trip. Her commands are simple and effective. And compared to what we heard coming from the other rafts, she was by far the most experienced. All of us made it in one piece and we had a great time! Thanks again!

We had a blast white water rafting with Kerrie. We loved her adventurous attitude. She really made sure we hit the rapids just right for the most bang and biggest splashes. Half of our group had never been rafting before and everyone felt safe. When we weren't paddling, we were joking, sharing stories, and laughing almost non-stop. We booked a half day tour and wished we had booked the full day. We also did the waterfall rappel with Mars and Colin. They were terrific guides and we loved the experience. The hike in and out is nice and the waterfall is beautiful. They drove us to the location and we all joked and shared stories throughout the day. We were a group of 8, ages 20 - 70. If we are back in this area, we will definitely adventure with FBA again.

We did the mountain biking tour this morning and loved it! Tyler was an awesome guide and not only shared some fun stories with us, but made sure we were comfortable and safe. He was patient as I figured out how to make right turns (Indy blood just wasn’t letting it happen) and picked up on when we were really ready to fly! Thanks for a great trip, Tyler!

Had an awesome time white watering rafting for the first time. The guides are great and they make the whole experience (even the bus ride) enjoyable from beginning to end. The views from the water are simply breathtaking. Pricey but worth every penny.

Where to begin. I can’t recommend French Broad Adventures enough for whitewater rafting. This was my first time going and I went with a group of 5 that also had never been rafting before. I was pretty nervous beforehand, but Jim, our guide was amazing. If you have the chance to have him as your guide, don’t hesitate. Had a lot of good stories during our 5 mile trip and showed us landmarks as we went down the river. The best part, he kept us all in the raft so no one fell in! 😂. It was a really fun trip and would recommend to anyone so just go whitewater rafting, but stick to with French Broad!

Went for a calm water tour and it was a great relaxing way to spend the afternoon. They provided splash gear which is essentially high end rain gear and way exceeded expectations. Probably the best gear I've ever been provided rafting. For once I would say weather would not shy me away from running with this crew. Rain or shine you're going to have a great time. It was only 50 deg today and we had smaller children and they even stayed warm. If you forget something they have a great store with everything from clothes to water shoes, to water socks and it's all quality items that aren't throw away when you're done. Very impressed!

Initially myself & 3 friends were booked for a Zipline excursion, but a last minute conversation with our main guide Tyler ended with us switching to an E-Bike ride through a trail that passes through NC & TN...and what a seamless and easy transition this change was!

Tyler and Tom our guides for this trip took the time to make sure everyone was acutely aware of how to use these bikes .. considering I myself hadn't ridden a bike in over a decade... definitely was some things to pick back up.

They were very through with assisting anyone who needed it, but let us kind of explore are ride at our own pace. They pointed some of Indigenous paintings on a rock cliff, and a couple good scenic views along the way.

Overall, this was one of the highlights of our trip, and I know once we got back to cell service a number of people were googling the prices of E-Bikes for back home. I would highly recommend any outdoor excursion this Outfitter offers! And if the chance to return to Asheville presents itself we'll certainly be booking a return visit!
