My husband and I had the most amazing time canoeing through Congaree National Park with our guide, Andy.

The weather in the morning started out cold and wet, but cleared up into the most beautiful day. Andy was energetic, kind, funny and so knowledgeable. He went out of his way to ensure we had the best experience.

This was the last day of our trip, and it was by far the best. I can’t recommend Andy and Palmetto Outdoor enough!

We went on the Congaree Canoe Trip and it was amazing! Our guide Andy was super knowledgeable and so easy going! He made us feel so safe and we had so much fun!
The trip itself was gorgeous with beautiful wildlife!! We took our 2 little dogs with us and they also had a blast!

We had the pleasure of doing a paddle with Hannah. She was amazing, very laid back and had a tremendous amount of information about the area, birds, snakes, and plants. We would certainly do this trip again, so fun!!

If you are considering visiting Congaree NP, I would 100% recommend adding a guided canoe tour to your itinerary. Reading the reviews, I see many people singing the praises of our canoe guide, Andy, and I'm jumping on the bandwagon - he was awesome. He taught us the basics of rowing and was charming, personable, and very knowledgeable about the routes, local history, and flora/fauna, and ready to jump out of his canoe to help you out if you get stuck. We went in the winter, but despite clouds and cold(er) weather, it was a pleasant ride (plus, no mosquitoes!). This tour is definitely something one can enjoy and appreciate year-round. I hope to return in the future with my family!

This was a wonderful outing. The experience of seeing Congaree NP from the water was a whole new perspective on the park. Our guide Andy was awesome. He's super knowledgable about the park, the wildlife, and flora. He was also super helpful with logistics, communications, and navigating us down and back up the creek. He even took us back into an amazing side channel full of giant Tupelo trees that we got to wind our way through.
Highly recommend Palmetto Outdoors and taking the canoe trip through Congaree!

Palmetto Outdoor was a great choice for a kayaking tour of Congaree National Park. Andy was our tour guide and did a good job of providing history and interesting facts about the area. Our group was much smaller and more conversational than the other large tour groups I saw on the water.

We had an amazing experience tubing! Booking online and finding the location were very easy. They gave us great info on what to bring (water, sunscreen, hat, footwear) so we felt very prepared. They notified us on where to get in and out and landmarks to watch for along the river. The equipment was also high quality. Bringing a small paddle/oar may help you steer along the river more easily but it was a lot of fun.

My fiancé and I had a wonderful winter canoeing tour with Andy. He’s so knowledgeable about the local plants and animals! And he’s such a nice guy that it was easy to spend an afternoon with him. Thanks for a great tour!!
