We stayed at the Beacon for one night. We took the ferry from Cape May and walked the Lewis-Georgetown trail to get there. Total distance was just over a mile. Rooms are clean but a bit dated. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and the convenience from the ferry.

This place is a family tradition and a best kept secret. It is equal distance from the beach and downtown Lewes. It's also a short drive to Rehoboth, so the location is perfect. The rooms are clean and reasonably priced. The pool is awesome and the staff is friendly. It will continue to be a family tradition for years to come!

What a perfect, gem of a place for our first visit to Lewes. Every interaction with the staff of The Beacon Inn was kind, accommodating, and helpful. Marj accomodated our early check in request and Waldon was so kind showing us around and making us feel special. The positive, low maintenance energy allows you to really feel at home. The larger size mini fridge was awesome to have in the room. The beds were comfortable, but we did use the extra blanket-the AC works super well! The ice was awesome to pack up the cooler. The pool was beautiful.

Just can’t speak highly enough about The Beacon Inn. We can’t wait to come back!

We recently had a block of rooms at the Beacon Inn for our daughter's wedding. Maggie and the staff were so accommodating and made the weekend a perfect event for our family and friends. This is definitely NOT a cold, impersonal chain hotel. This is a family oriented and fun hotel! Highly recommend it! Thank you again Maggie and team for helping us celebrate and make it a perfect weekend for our daughter and new son!

Perfect location in Lewes which makes a walkable neighborhood possible. The roof top pool is a great bonus. Everyone was professional, the room was clean and comfortable. Overall a great experience.

For a motel I was truly impressed with the cleanliness of not only the rooms but the property as a whole. We stayed there occupying three two bedroom rooms. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were nice, and the balconies were clean. Every room had cold A/C and heat as well as a small wall-mounted TV and refrigerator. The pricing was higher than we would have like to spend but granted, we stayed during a holiday weekend so what else could we have expected. Being walking distance to the Lemon Tree Restaurant and the Beach as well this location is a top option pick for those looking to stay somewhere close to the beach, without spending an arm and a leg on renting a beach-front or off-shore beach house.

The staff was friendly and very accommodating as well.

Spent a night here just for a little relaxing at the beach. Basic but some nice features. Walking distance to bay and town. Shower available after checkout for cleanup to spend a little extra time at the beach. There seem to have been some maintenance upgrades since my last stay. My room had new ceiling and bedside lamps, but carpet could have used at least some spot cleaning and mattress and pillows weren’t super comfortable. Pool shower was upgraded.
