It was my 1st time here. It ended up being a work thing.....a team building workshop.
We had tons of fun, and the women there were SUPER NICE!

Board and Brush Newark is such a fun time and never disappoints! I’ve made several projects there and always have a blast. The staff are always so helpful. We especially enjoy putting up our seasonal decorations we’ve made there!

I went as a solo crafter and felt very welcome by other participants and the studio team. You sit at assigned seats at high top tables with supplies readily available and your project laid out at your station. The team floats around to make certain you are supported while you work. You do the distressing, sanding, staining, and dry rub painting. Aprons, all the tools and disposable gloves are provided. You do not have to hand paint the lettering (phew!)-you paint over a stencil that is later removed. The studio team manage any nails or screws that are required to finish your project. It does take the full 2 hours in a friendly, social environment. Good for individuals, pairs, groups. Everyone is welcome. I have included a picture of the Christmas doorstop I completed for my internal foyer doorway, but there is an extensive list of possible projects to choose from.

I love love love this place. My sister and our friends enjoyed some great bonding time. The awesome instructors make the project you select effortless. The outcome was a beautiful sign, that no one can believe I made because it looks so professional. There are so many designs to choose from that picking what you want to make is more difficult than making it. I would highly recommend this whether you are a creative person or not it gives you such a great feeling of accomplishment when you see your finished project.

I had a very positive experience working with the owner, Jen, to plan a private party for my BFF. We booked our seats ahead, select our signs and customize names and dates on them. The studio is comfortable and well laid out with lots of space to work. I wasn't quite sure about the process, but Jen and her staff were great about explaining things and helping us all - while keeping things fun and reassuring us we couldn't mess up our signs. She was supportive, encouraging and open minded, so we all felt comfortable to be creative. We all had such a great time, it was really fun and we ended up with such cute signs. Highly recommended!
