Once in a lifetime swim with the manatees in Homosassa was phenomenal! Sara and Matt guided our semi-private tour with humor, knowledge and dedication to conservation and care for these gentle giants. We had the most amazing time and would HIGHLY recommend this tour and company!

We love coming to Crystal River and particularly our scalping trips with River Ventures. We came here several times in the past few years and we always had an amazing experience. We stayed at the tree house, in the backyard of the location, we eat the tasty sandwiches and smoke mullet dip , and mostly we made countless memories going out in the golf of Mexico for scalloping.
This weekend we had a new crew, captain Melissa and Natalie who was in the water with us. We had such a great time not only scalloping but also learning more about this wonderful place. We got to say hi to Irish Dave who was the first captain we travel with at this location and who is one of the many reasons we continue to come back, sometimes even 2-3 times a year. We love River Ventures!

I've been here 3 times for the manatee tours and it never fails to be a blast. They will literally come up and hug you. The staff is great couldn't ask for a better crew. I'm hoping to come during the summer for scallop fishing. Also if you get a chance do the air boat tour!

Loved our airboat ride and our sunset cruise with these guys!! They went above and beyond to get us taken care of when one of their own boats was out of service. Will most definitely use them again in the future!!

Once in a lifetime adventure with Heidi as our guide. We booked the earliest tour to have a less crowded experience with the manatees. And it was truly worth it! We swam with several manatees, watched a mother with her baby, enjoyed the hot springs and had a good time with our captain, Heidi and a family of four on our boat. We were well prepared by our guide and left with some underwater pictures that are breathtaking. Thanks so much for those memories!

Could not have asked for a better experience, Gavin and Krissy were very pleasant and informative, I could tell they truly care for the manatees well being above anything else. They had a boat break down a few days prior but they called and asked us with days in advance if we could go to the Homosassa location instead, which is still pretty close to their main site. They were also very nice to the people kayaking, letting them know where the manatees were so they could have a nice experience as well. 10/10 recommend and can’t wait to come back! We went on the heated houseboat and it was definitely worth it considering that it was a pretty chilly day.

Captain Troy and our tour guide Paige were wonderful! They were knowledgeable and fun. The water was chilly and we had a very early start but it was well worth it once we heard that sweet manatee munching away on all that green Fettuccini he was shoveling into his sweet little face underwater! They did a great job making this an unforgettable experience! I hope I have the opportunity to make it back one day.

I only saw the name river ventures on the side of the pontoon. But my son and I were kayaking and they had a group swimming with the manatees. She talked to us about the manatees too and explained that we were right over them but couldn't see them from the low angle of the kayaks. She offered to give us one of their extra noodles but we had life vests. My son jumped out to try and see them, she gave him an extra set of goggles so he could see. Had him climb on board when they were done so he could get back on the kayak easily. They absolutely did not have to do any of that. We hadn't paid for the excursion, but she went above and beyond to be kind to us! (I think her name was Sheila)
Next time, we will definitely be going to them instead of the place we got the kayaks from. Exceptional people skills. I've never seen a company do something like that. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you made my son's day and gave me faith in human beings again.
You didn't know this, but we had been having terrible experiences with people since we arrived in Jacksonville 4 days earlier. I was at the point to never wanting to come back to Florida again. Simply because of how we had been treated by so many others since arriving. Had not had a good experience at all until this lady done such a nice thing. So, you really saved our first ever vacation!
