American Pro Diving Center-Swim With Manatees - Crystal River, Florida

We had an unforgettable manatee swim, and even though it was a chilly day, Captain Guy and Guide Austin made it an exceptional experience! We were thrilled to see several manatees up close, including the rare and heartwarming sight of a baby nursing its mama.

One of our children got so cold she had to be swum back to the boat, but Captain Guy went above and beyond to make sure she was okay. He had piping hot chocolate ready and even offered a spare sweatshirt to keep her warm. Both he and Austin were knowledgeable, patient, and kind to our entire group, making sure everyone had a great time, even though we’re freezing.

This was an adventure we won’t forget anytime soon, and we can’t thank Captain Guy and Austin enough for their hospitality and care. If you’re considering a manatee swim, don’t hesitate—just dress warm! Highly recommend!

I had a great experience with American Pro. I did the combined dive doing the Blue Grotto and Devil's Den on the same day. Both were very unique dive sites. I've not done any cave diving so doing this type of cavern dive was a great experience to get a taste. Our dive guide Orville was very knowledgeable and helpful. He answered all my questions an offered assistance as needed. He really enjoys his job and rubs off on everyone attending the dive. Abby at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful in getting be booked for a couple of additional dives for the following week.

I did the Rainbow river dive a week later and it was great! Austin and Aiden where fun and full of information on the dive site. The boat ride was great and easy in and out. It was a very unique diving experience and I'm planning on doing it again before I leave town.

Thanks America Pro Diving for being the highlight of my trip to Florida.

We use them for school trips (manatee swims and drift snorkeling) and they’re amazing. They are well-organized and accommodating. The staff are great with students. Clean facilities and boats. Kids love the gift shop! Highly recommend.

I’m a diver from Canada that made a very quick trip to Florida for a few days - Spent the whole weekend diving with American Pro, their care and customer experience from the booking process to the dives was fantastic.

Rainbow River Night Dive - Austin & Captain Mike were wonderful, they offered a 1:1 dive that ran later than expected and it was clear they were dedicating personal time in order to give a full/amazing experience. Captain Mike captured some amazing footage from above, and there were many interesting points along this drift dive.

Manatee snorkel with Abby - Abby was incredibly knowledgeable and respectful of the manatees. Her care in ensuring everyone had a great experience truly elevated the trip. Hot chocolate after the snorkel was the perfect way to warm up after time in the water.

Blue Grotto & Devils Den with Orville
Orville was exceptionally kind and caring - taking the shop’s shuttle with him ensured that wonderful conversations were had, and he offered a never ending supply of snacks, warm clothes and knowledge (about the dives and local wildlife) - as an UW photographer, his photos captured are shots that I will cherish as I never get to have my own photos taken on dives.

I’d highly recommend American Pro’s trips and manatee excursions, and would certainly go out of my way to come back to Crystal River to dive again.

If I could give them 10 stars I would! Our Manatee excursion far exceeded our expectations! Our guide Abbie was incredible and so knowledgeable. We were able to see so many manatees. 5-6 at a time! It was an experience we won’t forget! Our captain Aiden was awesome as well! Pointing out things from the boat and very informative about the manatees. We will 100 % be back!

Amazing experience with American Pro Diving Center! They hosted our school’s field trip of approx 40 7th graders- we swam with manatees (after getting an education about them), snorkeled Rainbow River and swam in their indoor pool. Thank you for helping to make lifelong memories with our bunch! (and for making safety #1 priority, Fun #2!)

Abby was a fantastic guide! I really enjoyed going on a tour that is about educating the participants about the manatees. Her knowledge and leadership puts her above and beyond any marine wildlife experience I have ever had. Go ahead and change her name to Indiana Jones- she’s that good!!!!!

Florida Vacation: This morning it was time for snorkeling with the manatees. On advice, we booked a tour at American Pro Diving Center. We were warmly welcomed by John, our captain for the trip. The start is already good, they take their time for you and after the instructional video it is time to go boating and snorkeling. At the boat Ayden was already waiting for us. John and Ayden are very well known in these waters. They took us to a nice place to snorkel, in the clear water we could see the manatees very well.
