Great place to stay and was exactly what we were looking for in the area. The room was clean and nice (even the bougee 10yo girl thought so :)) The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant next door was great, we ate there both nights. We would definitely stay there again.

Captain Bob and Staff at the front desk are GREAT!! Rooms were exceptionally clean.|absolutely incredible and professional service at the front reception. Food was really good at the Gator Den restaurant. Steamed Shrimp and Gator Bites were very tasty and hit the spot!|Old Florida style Motel that was remodeled inside, they did a great job. Helpful Staff clean rooms. I did not hear cars from the street as other comments said they did.|Good Price, nice town, close to Crystal River too. Highly recommend staying and trying the restaurant that is right at the motel. My wife loved it sooooo, that was definitely a plus. Looks can be deceiving, I would gladly stay there again! Thanks Captain Bob you run a tight ship and it is squared away. Fair winds and following seas to everyone there.

Perfect for quick night stay with some cold beer and dinner onsite after long day in the springs! Its odd that it’s off a busy street so close to the road, but it was quite at night once restaurant closed and room were clean. Parking your car right in front of your room is great!

Last weekend I stayed at 2 well known hotels but they were nothing compared to the Gator Den. I wasn't expecting much for a motel, but boy was I wrong. We got in around 9 pm and we had to go to the bar to get the manager to check in. He was so nice as we had a rental car and I didn't know the plates but he waited for me to find the info.

The beds were comfortable, the sheets and towels were soft and comforting. It was definitely worth a stay. Unfortunately, we just stayed one night so we didn't get to see the town, but I would definitely come back.

We were hungry and just went to the bar next door and the food was delicious. The Gator PO'boy was fantastic.

I am sad there is not resident Gator, but maybe when I go back there might be one.

Excellent value rooms and restaurant! Perfect for a weekend getaway or a destination visit. Super location for paddling the Rainbow River/Springs and Withlocoochee. Great staff. Clean rooms and nice. You cannot beat the location. We are coming back to mountain bike the local trails, paddle and enjoy the Gator Den!!

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was nice except the sheets were dirty and stain. Liked the feel of small time town. The owner was very helpful with suggestions to have breakfast and dinner. I like the motel was not own by big corporations.

Positive: The staff was very helpful! Negative: Could do a lot better job with general maintenance. The first room offered Stunk! The air filter and air conditioning unit looked as though it has never been cleaned. Mold inside! Second room also had minor issues. Security latch, tub curtain rod etc

This small, older motel has had all the rooms completely and very well redone. The room and bathroom were spotless with nice TV, small microwave,fridge, coffee maker, very comfy bed, plenty of pillows, as well as towels. Front desk and housekeeping staff were welcoming, and helpful. The motel is right on the river, with Blue Gator Restaurant,with river front tiki bar, and pontoon boat rentals next door, and a few doors down several other restaurants. Just across the street is a nice park and boat ramp. We liked The Gator Den so much, we booked for several nights in March!
