I have stayed at many places over the years and I can honestly say that this stay was one of my all time favorites. As a matter of fact, I started to stay a second night...but unfortunately I had to keep traveling. The owner and his son/ nephew were phenomenal! Anything we needed, they accommodated. The rooms are being refurbished... just like new... comfortable beds, gorgeous interior, large TV...clean and bug free. There's an ice machine, snack machine, coke machine, washer and dryer all on site. You can not possibly find a better place to stay with all the amenities in a location surrounded by restaurants, stores and shops. All of this for $75/night. The owners can not be beaten...I wish I had the opportunity to invest in this location and be a part of the something special that they have here. I believe the name of this hotel is changing to "Freedom Pointe" in the near future...but the rooms and owners will remain the same.

We booked at the last minute. Other places in the area were booked full. The motel is obviously under new management. It has potential but they’re not there yet. They are in the process of renovating. The girl who checked us in was very nice and efficient. The lobby is under construction. Most people have come to expect some kind of breakfast. Because of the construction they don’t offer any, not even coffee. The room was clean. The bed was old but ok. It was a chilly night. There was one light blanket on the bed. All of this would have been acceptable if the price reflected it which, in my opinion it did not.

Recently Attempted to stay here. Wish I had read the reviews first. THERE WAS BED BUGS CRAWLING AROUND ON THE PILLOW!!! YIKES. I took the pillow to the desk clerk and requested my money back. I was only there for 30 minutes. That was sat. This is Tuesday. My money has not been refunded yet!! But I see that this hotel take your money... guess I'll let the bank fight this. Because I'm gonna dispute the charges. Slum Hotel

Carlina, I hope I got the name right, Was great!!! We stopped in over night from 2 weeks of camping to recharge and get some quality sleep. Rooms were clean. Bed comfy, TV worked, shower hot with water pressure! Yes they are renovating, yes it's not the 5star that some people want, but they are making progress. Good laundry mat and ice machine! Will stay again when we pass thru next time! Look forward to seeing the great hotel that will be!

The room was dirty. Hair on one bed, not vacuumed in days, sticky surfaces. Killed a few roaches. If there was another room within 30 minutes I would have left. But since I was traveling on Valentine’s Day, I was stuck. The towels were clean so I slept on them.

We are Choice Diamond members and in the Transportation business and typically like to try new/different Choice hotels on the road. We stayed at this hotel. Check in was great. However, we went to deliver a load around 8 the next morning and when we came back to the room around 9 am, we were accosted in the parking lot by the Desk Clerk. She wanted to know who we were, if we had a room there, etc. Then we drove our truck around back at check out just to load our bags; she wanted to know what we were loading in the truck like we were taking from the hotel. I addressed it with the clerk to no avail, but it is clear that they have a problem with people of color. Will never stay there again.

The staff was very accommodating with my requests. They are undergoing renovations and were very up front about it. The hotel was clean and very reasonably priced. The bed was comfortable, shower water pressure was great and it is very conveniently located near restaurants and I-75.

I don’t recommend anyone stay here. They are thieves and will charge you even after you leave. The worst owner in Carly. Literally just a money hungry horrible service hotel. I am owned almost 200$ that I was charged almost a week after I left. You are better off living in your car. DO NOT STAY IN THIS THIEVING PLACE
