We stayed at Comfort Inn Oceanside Deerfield Beach for a siblings’ trip, and it was a fantastic experience! This hotel truly offers the best value for the price, and I was pleasantly impressed as it exceeded my expectations.||From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive—always ready to provide extra toiletries or towels with a smile. The breakfast was solid, featuring the classic fresh waffles, though a little more variety would be a nice touch (but that’s a minor adjustment).||The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, and I especially appreciated the shower head being positioned high, making it super comfortable for taller guests. The beds were super comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep after a long day at the beach. The TV had a great selection of sports channels and other shows, perfect for unwinding in the evenings.||The location is unbeatable—just a three-minute walk to the beach and close to great restaurants like The Cove and East Side Pizza. The hotel had a mix of guests of all ages, so it was never too loud, except for the usual street noise you’d expect in a lively area. One of the best perks was that the hotel let us store our luggage after checkout, since our flight was later in the day. This allowed us to enjoy the South Florida sun on our last day of the trip worry-free, knowing our bags were safely kept by the staff.||Overall, if you’re looking for a comfortable, well-located stay with great service at a reasonable price, this is the place to be! Would definitely return.

Room was clean… but:||I asked about checking in a couple hours early if a room was ready because we did not want to leave our meds in hot car as we were out shopping and touring. Unfriendly lady at front desk told me that would cost a full day more in payment. When I returned ten minutes before the 3 pm check in, she complained I was ten minutes early! I am a Choice Gold member and I have to say this the the first time with a Choice hotel (or my Best Western or Marriott membership ) any registration person has responded or greeted me that way. All of our other hotel stays this trip the clerks were wonderful about checking in just a bit early. Also I had a printout of full dollar amount for our stay with tax and fees that I had been quoted at registration. She told me it would be $30 more for parking, no matter what I was told ahead since it was “close to a beach so that should be expected even if not quoted ahead”. ( it’s Two blocks away, not on the shore). Well, I feel that should be reflected as a notation on their registration quote or their webpage. ||Also, the elevator went out more than once during our two day stay and they had put us on fifth floor. We are an older couple so I asked more than once to be moved to a lower floor for our second night, they told me they would get back to me., but no one ever did. |I see from other reviews that the elevator issues at other times, and non disclosure of parking fees have been a problem with others too.|We would not stay here again.

Extremely disappointed in this hotel. They charged for parking. They gave you coupons to the poolside bar, but I don't think it was ever open during our stay. The breakfast was lousy. The water slides were locked up and unavailable. The rooms themselves were dirty and smelled. One elevator, seemed unsafe. The photos online were not representative of the place at all.

Absolutely a disgrace of a place. They photo copy your debit cards was the first red flag. Got to the room and the bathroom has mold, crap on the wall and the bathroom door was splitting in half and wouldn’t close. Room was sounds clean but not what you would expect for the price. We also booked ocean view and they gave us street view. Location is decent but still not worth it with all the added disadvantages including unfriendly staff. The nicest guy there was mopping the floor in the middle of the night and could still be friendly. I’d promote that guy because he’s the best thing going for this place!

The hotel was good, and the staff was very friendly. The room and property were as expected for a near ocean location. Lots of tile and concrete, humidity...like Florida is.AC worked well in the room although noisy. So was the ice machine outside of the room. Breakfast was good except the coffee. It was really bad. Also, the coffee mate has to go. Get some creamers, or at least regularly made coffee mate. The pool was sandy and appeared inmaintained. I had no desire to go i ...the ocean is here, but a vacuum won't hurt.

Extremely Disappointed – ADA Violation & False Advertising

I wish I could give zero stars to this hotel. Our experience was absolutely terrible from start to finish (1 night).
1. ADA Violation: My son, who is legally blind, has cerebral palsy, and relies on his service dog, was denied access to the breakfast and fifth floor because the hotel falsely claimed that “no animals, including service dogs,” were allowed there due to an “executive law.” This is a direct violation of the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act). They forced us to move to the fourth floor, which was not wheelchair accessible as we originally booked.
2. False Advertising: We paid for an ocean view room with accessibility, as shown on Expedia, but were given a room with no ocean view at all.
3. Horrible Conditions: The entire hotel smells disgusting, like a mix of dirt and cigarette smoke. The floors are filthy, and the air conditioning was broken, making a deafening noise the entire time.
4. Completely Unacceptable: My son could not even walk with his service dog inside the hotel due to their discriminatory policies and even though we paid to have breakfast my son with his service dog weren’t allowed to enter to eat / get food

This hotel is dirty, dishonest, and discriminatory. I will be reporting them to the ADA, DOJ, and consumer protection agencies. Do not waste your money here!

Not bad, but could make improvements:
I'll start with the positives; I love how when every morning I asked the front desk lady for a daily housekeeping, she got right on it, and by the time we came back to.our room in the afternoon, it was nicely redone!! A lot of other hotels we stayed at since the pandemic, I feel like I have to pull teeth to get my room cleaned (even at higher end hotels!) But again, these front desk people and housekeepers were right on it! I also like how it is less than a block from the beach, and the pool has a nice little waterside (even if it is not running, just find a maintenance guy, and he'll be more than happy to turn it on for you) They also have a nice little sandwich shop that's open from 11 to 5pm.

My only complaints are the $15 a day parking fee, which I think should be added to the price when you book (then if you show up without a car, they can just waive it if that's the case) I also thought the breakfast was bleak for a Comfort Inn; Just cereal, eggs, sausage, and waffles (no yogurt, oatmeal, bread, or fruit) So we just paid money to go out to eat.

The check in process is the most insane process I’ve ever experienced. It took ONE HOUR to check in.

— Extra charges on arrival. $100 per room deposit. Insane.

—They scan your ID, and then print it out? Why? This is totally unnecessary.

—They also scan your CREDIT CARD!! This is not good and unsafe. They printed out several copies of mine. WHY? — I asked if those were shredded, I kind of doubt it.

The people working the front desk are nice. This ridiculous process is not their fault. It’s management living in the 80s and just not caring.

The hallway to the rooms smells BAD. 🤮

Rooms are fine.

On top of that, the drink machine was gross and gave me an old drink that wasn’t even the selection I chose.
